I'm planning on getting one of these laptops. I just tried a GE68 Raider but I was having the same audio issue I been having when recording things using OBS. The sound sounds very muffled comparing to my desktop audio chip. I'm getting a model with an RTX 4080 and a 2TB SSD. It's a little bit faster than what I had before with a 4070!

I got this exact pc and used armory crate to slightly overclock the gpu and scored a 11200 in timespy that’s close to a 3070ti laptop with dlss3 it puts it past the 3080ti with equal settings and I honestly don’t notice the latency it’s magic buy this laptop asap and put a 980pro inside and your golden for 1080p max settings 60fps for many years to come

@@TheFatGamer-qs6zc last year acer predator helios 300 3070ti 140 watts qhd 165hz 3ms 500 knits 100% dci p3 all across the board with gsync and advanced optimus a.k.a mux switch, slightly more expensive, slightly. well, at least here in southeast asia that is. not sure its the same where ure from.

Not really, but if you have the option to get a laptop with a 2K resolution, think twice about this laptop. FHD+ 165h monitor isn't the best monitor these days. But if you're OK with that you should have no problem with this laptop I reckon. Absolutely decent performance with this hardware.@@soulaimanebougraou2363

I've got the same machine, but with 32 GB of RAM, 3TB SSD (came with a 1TB and I added a second 2TB), and the i9 13980H. It's a beast. I can play whatever I like on the laptop itself, but I also have an external 21:9 ASUS monitor running 3440x1440. I can crank setting to ultra on pretty much anything and get solid frame rates. In Cyberpunk (Newest patch) I dip to about 45 on the most strenuous part of the test, but average about 80 FPS at maximum settings. Oh, and that's with full raytracing settings as well. Air flow is front to back, which provides excellent heat dissipation. There are three fans in this year's model, whereas last year it only had two, and a much different heat pipe layout. For this reason, the ports have been moved. Two USB 3.2 ports are on the right side, and all other ports are on the left. For me, this forced me to flip my 3rd party dock around, as the USB-C cable connecting it to the powered USB-C port on the laptop wouldn't reach. No biggie. I love this machine. No regrets whatsoever.

@@scarecrow_1775 You won't regret it. This thing is a beast. Great for VR as well. I've got a Quest 2 connected to it, planning to upgrade that eventually, since I mainly use SteamVR games, not Oculus content.

with this laptop I see the power cable runs parallel to the side vent. Does that side vent blow out hot air and can it damage the power cable with hot air from the vent

Yes it does. I usually put a small object to prop up the cord to keep the hot hair from blowing directly on the cable.

Looks great! Thanks for the showcase. Ordered it when it was $1399 on Amazon but canceled after seeing Jarrod's post about the RTX 40 series laptops screen blanking after going from a heavy load to idle...lol. Shouldn't have canceled. Now it's $1749. Maybe might get the RTX 4070 for $2000 but that's a lot of money 😅.

Maybe look around for a laptop with Ryzen 9 7945HX for a better deal. Don't think you would see much of a difference in performance, except maybe in some very cpu bound games - in which case maybe the 7945HX with faster RAM would still be a better deal, if you can find it. Not a lot of options with this cpu right now, but should see more in the near future.

Hey guys, I have the choice between ASUS ROG Strix G16 with i9-13980HX and RTX 4060 for 250'000yen (= 1,760 USD), 280 USD discounted or the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 with i9-12900H and RTX 3080TI for 280'000yen (= 1,970 USD), 1050 USD discounted. I'm not TOO familiar with gaming Laptops to be honest. And these 200 bucks difference in price don't really matter to me if I can get a better Laptop which is more "future-proof". Although I'm not sure if the 3080TI is actually better than the 4060. I believe it is, but the CPU is definitely better on the cheaper (and newer) laptop. Any advice would be highly appreciated! btw, I don't mind getting another brand either. These are just the two I found in Japan (official website) which seem to be quite good laptops for the price. They're both discounted. The reason I want a Laptop is because I want to place Baldurs Gate 3 and Starfield on max settings if possible (or just as high as possible)

I think the rtx 4060 one simply due to the fact the cpu is amazing and it's the latest gen, the rtx 3080ti is def better than the 4060 but the rtx 4060 can run any game on high/ultra paired w that cpu so I wouldn't be worried the rtx 4060 one

My ASUS G15 Advantage with a 6800M from 2021 performs similar or better than this... passing on the RTX4060... at least 4080 to even think about upgrading from this powerhouse. Great video btw!

Plus has 12gb VRAM 👍. I went for a Legion 5 with a 3070 and on RE4 Remake I am having to compromise settings to fit into 8gb VRAM. Kind of wish I bought the Strix but it was a couple hundred £ more and was concerned about the reported issues.

Great Video! I recently got the Asus ROG Strix G16 with Nvidia RTX 4060/8GB and I don't get more than 85Hz with the HDMI output on the external LG widescreen (3440 x 1440/160 Hz), unless I set the resolution lower, which isn't either more than 120Hz and the USB-C Thunderbolt output does not bring more than 60Hz with the current adapter at the moment! This can not be?! Why didn't Asus install a mini display port connection here??? I do not understand that!

What are you smoking? There's no way it's close to 3060 laptop.

@@akshay8395 yes it is brother. You can check benchmarks. Only if fh5 there is a huge lead for the 4060 in rest it's like 10%-15% faster. It probably is the voltage limit which doesn't allow the 4060 to achieve it's full potential.

guys i need help i bought this pc and run an AAA game in performance mode but got 85-90°. Should I change performance to turbo mode? I'm asking this because the fan speeds are really fast in turbo mode. I'm afraid the fan might broke down. What should I do to get same temperatures in video

Turbo mod çok bir FPS artışı veya derece düşüşü göstermiyor performans modu gayet iyi. Altı hava alacak şekilde kullan hala sıcaklık yüksekse oyunlarda 90 95 C gibi geri gönder normal değil

@@emreyaka7959 kanka dediğin gibi turbo çok fps artışı sağlamıyor üstüne turbo moda alınca daha çok ısınıyor nedenini anlamadım şimdi altını yükselttim biraz performansta 75-80 arasında oynuyorum sıcaklıklar ideal gibi duruyor

I'm going to buy this model. Abou the temps... so you just basically run the laptop on "Silent Mode" and the temps will be 75-80°C?@@Eresajena

@@ophiuckus1635 if you play in silent mode your temperature will be 70-80 but your performance will reduce as well as temperatures. I suggest you play in manual mode. I made my own manual mode and I play full performance only in 70-75

Does this notebook not drain battery while playing with it plugged in? I say this because it comes with a 280w power supply and the new Dell G15 with RTX 4060 seems to be coming with a 330w power supply.
