Love Creager. Not sure if Roger does this at other venues but for the last 4 years or so, at LJT Music Fest near Stephenville Tx, Roger will bring his 80 something year old dad out on stage to sing with him. ❤

Fun music indeed! Reminds me of Cajun (at least the Jo El Sonnier style of Cajun) --- accordion sets it off from other styles, and the rhythm is contagious! Thanks for the request Jacob, and thanks again Don for a terrific reaction!!!

Fun song and I do something very similar to that yell. It's actually called a "grito" and everyone's is unique. Should have seen Christine's eyes the first time I belted one out! They actually have competitions throughout south Texas for the best shout. Although my grandmother's family was from Monterrey, Mexico, she was the youngest of thirteen and the only native Texan. She born in a field outside of Brackettville, Texas and eventually married my Choctaw grandfather. Alot of great culture in Texas for sure!

My great great grandmother was Choctaw. It mixes right in with the Irish, Scottish, Spanish and German lineage that has produced me. However, Texan first and foremost.

@@hatleyhoward7193 Yep, Texas forever! Have you done a DNA test? I was the first in my family to do one and surprise surprise...the results were eye-opening! First, since my grandmother's family was from Mexico, we always assumed she was the typical Mexican mix of Spanish and Indian. Nope, not a single drop of Spanish in my DNA...just the Indian (she was Huastec). Also on my father's side, he always said he was Scots-Irish. Again nope, no Irish blood...100% Scottish! I take these results with a grain of salt because genetics can be complicated, but the results were certainly entertaining! :-) Btw, my last name is German b/c my step-father adopted us, but no German blood in me either.

@@hatleyhoward7193 No, you need a genealogist for that. The test is just for racial/ethnic lines. Since I'm Native, we have a pretty detailed history of our bloodline. The non-Native side was where the surprises came. Good luck on the test...I hope you'll post a follow-up of your results. :-)

Texas music rules! Not cajun style, south of the border style. This would have to be my 2nd favorite Creager song, #1 is of course Everclear. If you haven't listened to Everclear, I challenge you to listen and not laugh or at least grin widely.
