As an absolute novice that knows nothing about jui jitsu, there were some really sick moves here. The sweep from Gracie at 5.11 was fantastic. The way he locked his legs, slowly established position from the ground on his side, faked, then at just the right time used a powerful push of the ground to use momentum to reverse it. Epic. I could tell both of these guys were high level. Can definitely appreciate this sport.

This was so amazing to watch. Haven't seen too many BJJ matches and my first seeing Roger. No wonder John Danaher ranks him as of the best. Guy was scaring me... Amazing how technical it can get when it's men of skill grabbling. But man; I hope to be living somewhere soon where I can learn under a great professor. Or just live in a practical driving radius of one. 31 already. Not getting any younger. With that being said; I myself, am very much naive of BJJ as a whole... but def think BJJ and Karate are the best two martial arts. They have so much philosophy behind them... and badass beauty. If I ever get the chance; love to learn wholesomely. Fuck the belts. I just want to be able to roll with the big dawgs... at least put up a fight like homie in the Blue Gi.... But think I would have to go No Gi... even tho the traditional Gi is so badass... it's just too many damn variables with the Gi. Feel like I would never be any good no matter the amount of time & training. Don't think I could ever reach that true competent "flow state" with it Aka I would always have that damn cloth in the back of my mind... thinking about potential holds, stalls, etc... What beautiful art though. If you half ass know what's going on... it's just as exciting as being true fan or spectator I think... That Roger is a real scary sight!
