Just sold my 991.1 GTS having owned it for three years, amazing car used on track days and European trips. Lucky enough to have traded it for a 991.2 GT3 and love it.

I am only 18 and I wish that one day I will be able to own one of these, 991.1 gts or 991.2 C2S. 911 is the car that I would choose instead of Ferrari 488 or Huracan due to its timelessness and performance. Great video!

Hi Roger, I have recently been searching KZfaq on the pros and cons of a 991.1 GTS over a 991.2 GTS and came across your review. I know I am late to the party and this is my first ever Porsche, but have just bought myself a 2015 991.1 GTS with a NA engine. Although it was a hard choice for me, it was the engine sound that veered me towards the .1 - just hope it doesn’t depreciate too much now ! Thanks and have subscribed.

As a 911 lifer/ atmo protagonist I totally agree with your review..am 6k miles into ownership of a v similar spec’d GT silver GTS C2 and love it! So it’s a keeper, altho’, whilst having PSE, I’ve been thinking about an after market IPE system, just to release a bit more aural delight, altho am not a fan of artificial pops and bangs! Would be interested in your/ other’s view..thanks & keep up the good work!

Both your wife and the 911 GTS are keepers. My 911 GTS 2016 just arrived. I upgraded from the Cayman to the 911. The 911 has so much more power overall, the Cayman GTS 2016 is quicker and lighter, but I choose the 911. You are so fortunate to have a cool wife that does track days with you. Blessings!

Yet another superb really enjoyable video from the Roger Bailey Film co. As I’m sure you’ve mentioned in previous videos the GTS models throughout the range appear to be the one that hits the sweet spot.

The ultimate street car! Although GT3 is amazing, not really great for street while last year of the naturally aspirated 2016 GTS 991.1 is the ultimate all rounded vehichle!

I agree with everything you mentioned. It has plenty of power and is drivable on a daily basis. The naturally aspirated engine has a deep throaty sound unencumbered by a turbo. It definitely ticks all the boxes.

2:05 'Practical super car'..Well not always. I got a flat tire on my Porsche 911 on a road trip and it was a nightmare. It happened on Saturday night while I was 300 miles away from home and of course Porsche does not provide a spare tire. Tow truck took me to the nearest repair shop which was already closed and they were also closed on Sunday. So Monday morning they tell me they do not have my size tire in stock but they will have it by Tuesday. Trip was completely ruined because I had to stay in a hotel and wait for a tire for three days instead of enjoying my trip. Thanks Porsche. All of my road trips are now only in cars with a spare tire.

Ahhh, you bought one with a PDK transmission. My 2015 GTS luckily came with the 7-speed manual. The daily driver is an automatic.

The 991.1 GTS is a very good car. I had one and chopped it in for a Carrera T. That is a phenomenally good car.

Awesome video with great production I have come to love from Roger. What a great treat to watch these videos. I feel the same about my Turbo S. It’s a great super car that I can go pick up the groceries or take on vacation. But I can also be on a track and be totally at home.

So when you went across the Channel into Europe and you'd packed all the bags, where did you put your ONE solitary bag? I'm just assuming that all the bags we saw you packing were for the Blonde Stalker (Who, to be honest, didn't look much of a stalker anymore!!??). :-))... And I do have one question about tyre replacement. What happens when you go to your porsche dealer to have a tyre replaced? Does the black come off everytime and need to be re-blackened? So wheel comes off. They replace/repair tyre. Wheel goes back on. You/They notice it needs re-blackening. Wheel comes off. Gets re-blacked. Wheel goes back on. But the blacks been rubbed off again. So wheel comes off. Wheel is reblacked. Wheel goes back on. But you/they notice the blacks come off. So wheel comes off. Gets re-blacked. Wheel goes back on... This could go on forever!! One thing you mentioned that is true. The 911 is the only daily driven supercar you can still buy. Great video RB. Your No1 (And now only!) Stalker :-))..

Thank you for the very informative videos. I am have been toying with the idea of a 911 for sometime now and have narrowed it down to the GTS. What would you suggest are the must have options to help reduce the inevitable depreciation (albeit I appreciate you mentioned having only suffered a £2k loss in your ownership). Do you still believe the the 991.1 NA car to be the better purchase over the later 3.0 GTS You have gained a new subscriber - keep up the great work.
