I wrote and directed this video for Roger Sanchez in 2001. It’s so much heartwarming to see how my short film can connect with all of you. ‘Another Chance’ was so inspiring to me, I wrote a story following the lyrics but being distant from them at the same time, letting space to the music and create emotion. I directed this piece of film over 2 nights shoot in New York. When I added a 2 minute dialogue right in the middle, I was expecting MTV and Label would never accept it. But everybody loved it. Thank you so much to all of you for your wonderful comments.

This video has such a deep meaning! This is the process of many people through life. They start life with a big heart and with time people and bad experiences in general makes their heart getting smaller. People in general see a big heart as weakness and get scared because they know they can get hurt if they show their heart to others. If you have a big heart be proud of it and don't be afraid to show it, you never know what you may be missing by not showing it to othersl!!

@MarianMurphy-rz8ej10 күн бұрын
You’re meant to predicate your identity on factions and us vs them and in groups and out groups and elitism and cognoscenti and outsiders and not treat everyone as equally worthy of dignity respect and kindness. They would rather you were a judgmental bigot. Long into adulthood and well past the teenage years. People depend on the need to form groups to feel exceptional at the expense of another group of people who they deem as ‘not us’ and they can easily discard dehumanise and render as other in their mind. And now the entire world is ‘alterity’ because everyone others the others. Wheat and the tares! Repent to the Lord Jesus while there is still time… 🕯🕊❤️💕👑🕯✝️

This is one of the best videos ever shot. It's very deep and meaningful. The girl's heart is not the real problem, but the fact she desperately wants to show how big her heart is to everyone. Never do that. Don't waste yourself and your life chasing people and their love or acceptance. Know how and when and especially to whom you wanna show your true self and you'll find your happiness.
@guug69926 ай бұрын
I see your point, but I have another interpretation of the video. She is not desperate at all. She truly believes that all people are exactly like her - openminded, curious and full of life. After a while she gets confused when everyone she meets tells her to go away. Her heart then begins to shrink. She loses faith in humanity. But her heart is elastic ( like in Sias “Elastic heart”). So the true meaning would be that no other person can ever put her down for a long while. Her heart will endure unfairness and it will always grow back to its original size - No matter what.

The heart you mean? Definitely! Our generation understands this well with Japan being most relatable on this, and the UK. Besides if all social media advices and condescending are anything that creates stoicism of apathy, its society we have. Maybe it's a good reason but there is alot of love in this world yet barriers of so much keeps forming borders. This large heart in a city or in a system that reminds us that we are human even if we sink into the system, people feel something. I'm not talking about films or its arguments of relationship. Becouse we can take that and point that as the other or somewhat generalisation to advice with borders, but in real life people dont want to get hurt or judge too quick without realising that theres just people. People dont know what other people feel inside or even consider how people are, its contexlised by an agenda. The heart would be so meaningful in a museum to remind us. In the 2000s as a kid, or playing kingdom hearts. What of live? What of friendship? What of meeting people? 2000s kids enjoyed themselfs with games and films, technology, not in the circomstances of the younger then (the 20s) generation back then trying to get by finding themselfs. At a point in the mid and late 2010s I was completely and distant from everyone. I just wonder how they felt. I do miss the 2000s for me as a kid then I loved. Good memories.

Watching this after so many years has truly struck a chord in my heart man, this really effected me as its only now that I am of age that I can truly comprehend the profound meaning behind this. It's re-ignited my inspiration to love because thats essentially what weve all been put here for and its this loop of a lack of love which this video conveys so well which we must overcome. God bless you all were all in this together, alone

Powerful is irony, how good people with big hearts are treated very poorly today. But after this guy gave her chance, she got new hope to stay truthfull to herself. Sometimes, even a little thing can give you hope.

People are scared of big hearts, with a big heart comes big passion, big dreams, big hopes…see how the world reduces the size of your heart, your passion, your hopes and dreams, its sad but true…until one day your heart breaks or just stops, it stops caring, searching, seeing, feeling or just beating…along with the mind and the soul our hearts are the most important object we need to be human…we use it for love, compassion, choices, drive and passion and for life itself…we need to see the world with our heart not just through our eyes…your eyes are like the window looking out and looking in…your heart is looking through those windows for all it needs to feed its passion, passion is the seed of creation, creation is the key to life, life is the one and only thing we truly have…grow, watch, expand, and let your heart beat with passion for all to see, with hope that others see your love and passion as a fire of hope shining brightly for those who need a little help from time to time….

But i still thank her because i see the world more clear than water now while she doesnt.A girl that calls u soulmate and true love and replaces you when your in a hospital is very nice though.

That is so true man, time after time people get hurt and then the only way they can cope is to not care but love is the driving force behind everything good and there are so many amazing people out there, I think its about searching in the right places, always have people and things (non material) in your life that you love and you will have the fight in you get hit down. I think depression kicks in when people lose all hope and forget what it's like to be themselves and feel excite about the things they love.

I love late nineties and early 2000 for one particular reason : It was an era where style and romance were mixed up with pure genius within the world of arts and entertainments (from music to cinema and TV). Our timeless, soft values from the nineties were mixed up with new technologies, new futuristic inspirations, new electronic movements and the result was that a lot of creations (like this one) were pure freshness and good-taste. Sounding super cool, fun, modern and even forward-thinking without falling into trashy, vulgar things. I also love the blurry and dark photography from this era, that gave us the impression to be within a dream. A very interesting aesthetics for videoclips . Big heart for this track!

THANK YOU LORD. I have been looking for this songs FOR YEARS! The thing with my brain is that I remember just tiny bits of chorus's tune but I have no idea who the composer or the name of songs. It was a faint memory from my teen years so I've forgotten most of the songs. I'd searched the 90's and 2k's techno list but not one of them come close to this. I swear I told myself to never ever forget the tiny bit of the song and the keep memorizing it whenever I can. THAT IS UNTIL TODAY I accidentally clicked on the 90's hits online radio and this song played. I grabbed my phone so fast, clicked on the IDSong app and placed it over the laptop. The App found the song and I immediately came here to listen to it!! Lord I have waited for this song, this moment. I am so happy it's crazy. No dance songs in the radio right now that can be as good as the 90's and 2k's dance songs. It's the song that really touches you that will ever be amazing. THANK YOU RogerSanchezVEVO for this song
