Yes it is. Just watched a bunch of vids they do not compare. I’ve been doing maintenance in a mining camp and didn’t know about the ext. 🤦‍♂️ haha I’ll pull the toilet off and buss out the drum auger. Haha

I have been a service plumber for 8 years, and a plumber for 10. I did not know my auger had an extension. It does. Do you know how many wall hung toilets I've pulled off, just to find the hypodermic needle surprise hidden 6 inches past my auger? Oh man my life starts today.

Good call about losing the handle. I lost mine months ago... rip. But I prefere a drill anyways. No need to feel anything on these little guys. I'm hammering through whatever in there. If I can't get it, I'll pull a toilet and run a real cable down there and that's that's the delicate work starts

thank you so much, literally bought this thing at 8 am from home depot and within 20 mins i was able to unclog my toilet. saves me $250 -$300 plumber would of charged.

I use the exact same auger. I have a slight bend on the tip of the spring and it catches a.ton of stuf i hooked child's toothbruch the other day and have pulled adult diapers from deep in the toilet. Its also great for removing flushable wipes that aren't able to be pushed through. Just slowly pulled them out until i could plung the rest.

I have a very old version of these left behind by the former homeowner at my house. I was going to toss it until.my father in law told me what it was and i would be stupid to throw it away. Well, thankfully I'm didn't because I just pulled what looks like a wad of dryer lint stuffed in a toilet paper tube out of the toilet after 2 plungers, a lot of mopping, and about an hour of work. Using the auger took as long as this video with nothing more than a slight bit of elbow grease.

Thanks for guidance. Quick question. When I extended full 6 foot of cable, how do I retract back in original position after cleanup? I am not able to achieve and now 6 foot cable is all out

Turn it counter clockwise and pull to rectract it. Remember you pushed down and cranked to go into the toilet so you're just reversing the process.

Hi! Most of closet auger videos I saw use a toilet bowl model which has the hole going forward so all you have to do is push the closet auger. But our toilet bowl is a different model. The hole is backwards. Can you please make a video using that kind of toilet model so those of us who have a different model of toilet bowl will also know how to use the closet auger. Thank you!

I’m a maintenance engineer for a large casino here in Las Vegas and I’ve used these pretty much daily. You’d be shocked at what can get flushed, I’ve pulled out a brand new iPhone, sunglasses, shirts, underwear, wigs and of course paper towels and the like lol

Ridge .... home depo has them. They was Luke 60 bucks a couple years ago. So now probably 100 bucks
