That team of people really did a fantastic job. Hopefully there are more innovations to come that will make their jobs easier and better.

i love the lighting, detail in the voice, and facial expressions. the one thing that deepfakes and advanced cgi have to improve is the mouth, eyes, and skin. combine that with ultra high resolution - whew. thats a tall order. i didnt care for the tarkin render at first but the more I watch the more i appreciate the actor performance. guy henry nailed it...

It still doesn't look 100% real. It could be any one of hundreds of things But thanks for uploading Misterrr Anderson

For all the criticism, I don't see any other computer graphics production studios doing a better job than this. I mean, George Lucas literally invented industrial light and magic because the technology to make the original Star Wars didn't exist, at the time. And, since then they've become the primary "go-to," effects studio for filmmakers from Stephen Spielberg and Michael Bay to James Cameron, etc. They've been producing the highest quality of this type of content in movies ever since. (and there are thousands of graphics studios out there, in the world, pumping out computer generated effects for the film industry, as a whole.) Deepfake technology has improved quite dramatically, especially in recent years, to such a degree that people can make extremely impressive content at home, on their own computers, but still not quite exactly Star Wars, (or any; "Hollywood blockbuster,") movie quality standards, yet. Industrial Light and Magic is STILL arguably better than them all so, if anybody was likely to pull it off, it would be them. The way I see it, if it's still imperfect, (which I guess some see with Leia, and especially Tarkin, in Rogue One,) they're the head of the pack in the industry, they're allowed. (I'm just sayin' ✌) #DontShootTheMessenger

No they didn't literally invent the technology, dumbass.

They have a technology but they do a bad creative decision.

Honestly I didn’t even realize Tarkin wasn’t real when I saw this in theaters for the first time. I didn’t even think about it. Leia, on the other hand, looks like a Video Game character

I think it is her eyes. They seem too big. Maybe it is because the actor's face is smaller.

That actress who played Leia was so charming- shame they couldn't have just used her. Heck, casted her as Rey instead of grumpy in the first place.
