A quick rules tutorial, review and how to play for the Nordic Weasel game "Renegade Scout" by Ivan Sorensen. It is a cleaned up version of #roguetrader #warhammer40k - in this battle there are Crimson Fist #spacemarines against #orks - who will win THE BATTLE AT THE FARM!?

I understand the justification, for sure. Thank you kindly for taking the time to write this brilliant game up for us all. If you wanted me to run another battle report, what would you like to see to demonstrate the system effectively? Dreadnoughts? Vehicles? more Psychic Powers?

Seriously helpful for me getting this onto the table top so thankyou v much :) one question though, how did you go about statting out the marines? I’ve scoured the pdf and can’t seem to find any close fitting profile for them… thanks in adv :)

Hello matey! I basically read off the statistics from the "Battle at the Farm" scenario from the back of the Rogue Trader rulebook - hence the T3, 4+ save for Marines! For the weapons I used the stats offered in the Renegade Scout rulebook initially, then swapped to entirely using the RT weapon stats in the second game.

Oh awesome! For some reason I didn’t think the two were compatible but actually having taken a look at the rogue trader book all the stats are pretty much transferable. Did you use points at all though? Or was the balancing all just more to do with intuition/ estimating?

@@Mosaic117 are use one list in one game and the other list and another - I don’t think you should look at this like a tournament balanced game, just a very rough indication for an entertaining social/narrative game

@@williamayerst8810 okay yeah that does make more sense. I suppose in solo gaming especially its not nearly as important to have rigidly balanced forces!
