This dude is down to earth, coolest guy ever. I played soccer with him for three months not knowing he is Marley. Me being new immigrant, no clue. The only reason he told me he is Bob's son because he heard me singging the first day Damion's welcome to jamrock while we are stretching. This is crazy ❤❤❤

Exactly. I'm 45 from Houston. In 1987 I went to my first rap concert. Rap was in it's childhood phase. Public Enemy, Epmd, the Original Geto Boyz (before Face, Willie D and Bushwick became the known members) performed the day and it brings me joy to see how far Hip-hop as a whole has come. I don't waste time bashing newer rappers. There are several newer Artists making quality m @',x. I just support who makes the music I enjoy and artistry i respect.

Haitians, we are proud of our country, being the first black country. That fought for independence, and we are proud of our ancestors for shedding their blood along with the sacrifice that they made in exchange for freedom, and yes, we paid a heavy price for our freedom. We appreciate and respect the courage of our ancestors. Even though, in th eyes of some black people, refused to recognizing what our ancestors did to start. The revolution of freedom. Eventhough, Haiti suffer for this and we still suffer from this. I am proud to be a Haitian.

In the 80s there was a conscious element in the culture of both Jamaica and America but it was considered "underground" and not mainstream and that came to the fore in the early 90s with hip hop and dancehall. Both representing new generations of Africans coming out of colonization and jim crow and finding their own voice within culture. Big up to Jamaica, Bob Marley and Hon Mosiah Garvey.
