Once at early morning in Mumbai, Bade Gulamali Khan had live performance in at Madhav bag (open air). Khan saheb announced that "Today I will sing Yaman", but during running of the instrument, some one from adjusent house, started playing radio. On the radio, song was running Piiya legyoji from anpadh. Khan saheb stopped and start listening the song. After end of the song he uttered "Ab iske aage mai apna Yaman Kya sunaoo ". Both artist are great.

Beautiful collection ! Thanks for posting. Hard to choose because Lata ji has sung so many brautiful songs in yaman/ yaman kalyan. Kenu sang kheloon holi, chandan sa badan, jiya le gayo ji mora, zindagi bhar nahi bhoolegi.. come to mind. Yaman is my very favorite raag. Happy Birthday Lata ji. इस में शामिल किये गये गीतोके शास्त्रीय संगीत पर आधारित विश्लेषण बहुत ही सुंदर । विषेशत: फिल्म ' सती सावित्री ' के गीत ' तुम गगनके चंद्रमा हो ,मैं धराकी धूल हूं ' को यमनकी धुनमे संगीतकार लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारेलाल तीने सुंदर बांधा है । इस गीत की रचना स्व .कवि पं भरत व्यास जी ने क्या खूबसूरत हिंदी शब्दोका प्रयोग किया है। उर्दु भाषी एक भी शब्द नहीं । कवि कल्पना भी अद्भूत है ।

Great lecture..Lata ji ne wese to kai raagon per adharit geet gaaeyin hain..Per yaman aur yaman kalyan me jis tarah aapne deep knowledge di hai ..bahot hi adbhut hai.aapki knowledge, apki gayaki aur samjhane ka tareeka..her aspects se aapka ye channel bharpoor hai..bade bade sangeet ke naamcheen gayak, kalakar bhi is tarah sangeet ki shiksha ka gyaan nahi de paaey...jis tarah aap kaam kar rahe hain..God bless you..Aap ek mahaan kaarya kar rahe hain jiske liye jitna bhi likhein kum hi hoga.. 🙏

@@RohitKataria sorry my mistake but this song is in raag adana ( Darbari kanada) and lata ji another top 10 song in my opinion dhere dhere machal of anupama beautiful composition of Hemant SB in raag khamaj and Lata ji sung marvelously Rohit ji I am not student of music only listener but I am interested in configuration of song whose compose which raag and other thing I like piano and piano base songs But your programme style is very simple and interesting so I am enjoying this programme I think that a song's popularity depend on melody and I like melodious and romantic soft song Lata ji another song Sawan ke jholay pare of film jurmana R.D Barman SB classic in raag Pahari and I think Lata ji sung this song with super heart touching feeling
