One other really good use for these: Tackle box handgun. I have a three inch TG23 that lives in mine. Shoots just fine. It was a gift. I also had an RG in .22 Short. Paid ten bucks for that one. Gave it to my son and he sold it for $150. Ticked me off that he sold a gift. But I was indeed proud of his salesmanship, lol!

Acquired a RG23 about two years ago, it’s a slick little gun.

I bought a box of 26 RG revolvers from a friend 15 years ago from an auction in Miami FL for $150. Some were .22 cal and some were .38 Special. I still have them all. Germans do not make junk. One of the .38 Specials had an 8" barrel on it. At 100', every round goes inside a paper plate target. The cylinders lock up tight, ejection of the empty brass is easy, and the forcing cones on each of the revolvers look like new. I figure I got a pretty good deal back then.

Sorry to say! But they DO or did make some junk, RG, Burgo and some didn't even have a name.

I was a police officer in Texas back in the 1980s. The only place I have ever seen an RG was on a criminal. I asked the older police officers about them. The joke was, "Yeah, its an RG... Real Gun!" The ones I saw were .22 Short, maybe a couple of .22 Long Rifle caliber, snub-nosed revolvers. The cylinders are freewheeling and are indexed by the pawl. I never fired one but they looked like they would blow up in your hand. I promise you, you have held cap guns that feel more substantial. I have never seen these on display for sale anywhere. I don't believe a gunshop would touch them. This might be something sold in a pawn shop. The one in this video was WAY nicer than any I ever saw.

adaboy4z most are 50 to late 60s and standard pressure 22 should be safe, as long as the gun is in firing condition.
