That would be great, we also have a shark AI and my 4 kids are so scared of her, she literally eats everything in her way, one day it ate the whole dog metal leash, socks, toys, my teen lost her school bus pass and she was blaming CHACHA (the robot vacuum) when my 4yo doesn't wanna pick up her toys i tell her CHACHA is gonna eat them and she cleans up, suction is amazing, i would love to see a video about the roidmi with those obstacles we just got one my 4 yo named him MAMON lol

Hey Anita It is setup and forget Well not completely you need to refill and clean it But since we have it we don't use our regular vacuum stick (90% less) In terms of durability it is working fine since i got it. It cleans my house 3 times per week

Do you hear fan spinning for air drying?

@@donmarkon yea it does. Even after it stop and the fan indicator is no more, I took out the robot vacuum to inspect the mop. Still quite damp. Probably the sensor or drying interval needs an update via firmware

@@donmarkon I wrote in to Roidmi and they listened. If you update the app and firmware , you will see 12 hours max drying time now. Let’s see how it goes …

Hey Mathew I understand your dilemma, i would have it if i had any carpets. I deeply hope Roidmi will update and enable only vacuuming with mops attached. But will they do it i dont know ... In my eyes it would be great, dry mops and not spinning just vacuuming That's why i cant tell you what is the best for you... I i would have carpets and depending of size of apartment / house you can always run first vacuuming and after that just mopping I was doing that with my roborock, because i find that it better mops when only mopping and when it is already vacuumed. There are always solutions but it all depends what you find the best for you

Regarding S7 It is really good vacuum, it works flawlessly (vacuuming is detailed and trouble free) I bought dock for it in Germany but i'm waiting to pick it up there, i want it in my house to maintain it when i'm not there. Roborock is reserved for apartment in city How big is your home?

thanks so much for the reply, its great to have your advice. I’ve actually heard back from the Obode P8 team and they have said their bot will vacuum first then automatically mop the hard floor without getting the carpets wet. Which is certainly a point to them. It is super similar to the ROIDMI but their suction is only 2000pa and no auto empty. My home is a fairly big 3 bed house for in the UK. The ground floor only has one carpet room and then all hard flooring but the first floor is the opposite. I also have the problem of stupid Brexit which makes it more difficult to get the base stations if Roborock don’t release it in the UK again. Which is what initially attracted me to both ROIDMI and the P8 as you get it with them.

What did you decide in the end?

@@donmarkon I decided to go with the Obode P8. Yes the suction isn’t as powerful as the other 2 I was deciding between, but what won me over was that I’m guaranteed the base station in the UK unlike with Roborock and unlike the ROIDMI Eva I don’t need to take the mopping pads off to vacuum carpets. So those two things swayed me to Obode P8. Still going to be keeping my eye on the ROIDMI Eva for any updates and future versions to see if they resolve the need to keep taking the mops off 🙂

Still in use and working like first day. Sadly i cant compare it with other robots X1 and L10s

@@donmarkon Thank you for replying.. When you show how dirty the water is, at 24:34 and 24:38 two different dirty water tanks based on color and amount. I am trying figure out if one tank is enough to do 110 sq meters/1200sqft. With Roborock S7 on Deep+ Mopping I have to refill once. Also how is EVA holding up, some say the tanks break and the overall plastic and build is bad quality? I also wonder how much of a headache it will be installing/removing pads just to vacuum? I prefer to vacuum every other day and mop every 2nd vacuum pass. I have my eye on Dreame L10s but want it on sale around $1000. Perhaps XIAOMI MIJIA Omni for $800 on ali.. But EVA right now is $600, even less than S7+ I got for $680.. I can not go with W10 because no self empty which is a must in my opinion.

Aham I will explain, it is captioned as "can be even worse" I wasn't 100% clear, first shoot is from the test and second one is a footage from different point of time (before the test) which i recorded and did shown as how much dirt it cleans and how it can look, you probably see huge build up on the bottom.

If you use only vacuuming it is not a problem... but if you use mops it will require to clean them after set amount of time which is 6-9-12 mins

To run just vacuuming (dry mode) you need to remove mops. I hope they change this in future update ...

I personally stopped using roidmi app as i started using mi home. As i have few more mi home apps i like as much possible of my devices to be in the same app.

I plan to do few tests to compare. Keep an eye on the channel S7 feels a little bit more polished regarding pathing. But i really hope roidmi brings updates, it is super fresh device so there is place for new things.

Updates are often (robot and base firmware) they definitely improved it overall.

Thank you for support! I already sent an email to roidmi as suggestion for this feature (i personally would like to have it). I want to be able to first vacuum then mop without any interaction... Regarding recommendation if its the best option ... I cant tell as this is only all in one robot which i have What i can tell you is that do the job well for me, i did try to show my opinion as much is it possible in this video. I dont have carpets in my apartment as i hate them, and that was huge factor in my decision. The great thing is that you just run it and don't think about anything, the only thing which i do now is to refill water tank and empty dirty water :D

No updates from roidmi. Only new thing is that Eva is added to Mi home center app

Same problem here, did you managed to solve it? Cleaned it multiple times, blowed air in to pipes.

hey this comment was two months ago and I wonder if when you used a cleaning solution did it damage the vacuum or station at all over the 2 month period.

There is no 3d camera on the front so regular way of avoid obstacles (bumper)

Trust me … For proper all avoidance front camera is a must All other variations make mistakes,especially with cables and small things like that. Roborock S7 MaxV after several needed updates avoids everything possible and works perfectly I don’t say that Eva is not good Just for trouble free cleaning keep floors without problematic obstacles

The whole point of the test was to be realistic. Will the vacuum be in pristine clean condition always when you use it? No it wont ... Majority of the time brush will be dirty (up to some degree). Consider my test as extreme situation, in that way you can get impression what it can do overall

I agree with you. For me this robot is doing job really well. I went on extreme side with hard objective to be done as worst case scenario.

It seems you don't see the point. The mops were "clean" after few uses they will look like this. It is not true dirt and they don't leave residue. If you see the result of the mopping part of the test it was pristine. Testing something in perfect condition is easy but not realistic real life situation. Would you clean your mops after every few cleaning sessions? No you wont as there is no need or point You know how they say hard situations are where heroes shine or fall, my idea was to run the robot after it has been cleaning my house some time already and see the results. And this is it, you can only get better results (when robot is clean) not worse. Which would be the case if robot was factory clean ... Hope this helps

@@donmarkon yes, I would clean my mop after every use, couse i do so. Just like I clean my rag after every use. I also have a vacuum with mopping brushes and I also clean it after every single use. With a mopping robot I wouldn't probably clean mop pads very often, but once a week by daily use is a minimum I think, the same for the base...

I don't see a point to buy a self cleaning robot in your case? I have roborock s7 when i mop i remove the mop and next time i use a clean one. If you want to clean everything after every cleanup i don't see a point for you to use a product like this ... I tell you this because as i said i have S7 and i bought this because i didn't want to clean rags/mops every time Keep in mind that Roidmi clean the mops automatically after use and then it dries them

Why, please give details.. I don't know of another robot that has auto empty and round spinning pads that auto clean for the same price.
