Man its a pretty genius design, looks quite small too for 5000mAh battery. Great review Ben! Btw I prefer Android 12 than the new version because in my area the Google TV doesnt get updated. I cant have my KZfaq recommendation that usually is at the top of my Android 12 TV UI!

As a person that got the xreal air 2 pro and liked them and didn't like the fov I got the rokid max kit and I feel it's way better in my opinion I did like the xreal positional tracked thing of the xreal and the shutter feature and the look of the xreal but that rokid fov and diopter feature and Android TV won for me 100% better.

Hey I love your channel. Can you do the Inmo air 2 again with apps ainstalled and emulation? Also I got the Viture Glasses with the neckband seems to have a much better experience than this.

I'd def be down to get this for my x/n real airs if supported. More convenient than using up my phone battery life. And when I go to hotels or whatever I don't need to bring my whole tablet to watch content. I can just bring this and plug it into the tv and watch whatever I want. And the Bluetooth can let me hook up a controller for Xbox game pass hopefully

The rokid station doest provide 3dof like the nreal beams right? There still isn't the perfect accessory yet. Atleast until the beam gets apps on board.

Personal advice, do not order pre-order. I ordered my rokid max during pre-order and got it later than those who didn't pre-order. Just wait till pre-order is over. Not worth the heartache to save $10

I'm assuming this works with other glasses like the Xreal? My X-Beam is on its way right now. I wish they didn't go with micro HDMI and just had another USB-C plug. I might get this as well but we'll see.

I would love to know if this thing has body anchor mode like the xreal beam. If the screen just moves with your head I am out. For $530 I could get the meta quest 3 when it comes out.

I also have the Xreal+Beam on the way, but this rokid station looks like it’s better than the beam. I may get return my beam and go with the rokid station and the Xreal glasses.

It does work with XReal and you can pair this device with the beam and have 3DoF

@@MrMittens01 yeah I'm thinking it would. I just got my Beam and it's pretty awesome. Xreal did say they will allow you to put your own apps on there so hopefully that happens sooner then later. If so then we really don't need the Rokid Station. I do wish the Beam had Chromecast too, that would've been nice. I'm looking forward to what the Beam could actually do in the future. In the meantime I'm just glad I could pay my Switch now without a dock. I also got a Rokid hub but it only works on phones and stuff, not so much on anything else. It works on my Ally but it doesn't charge it fast enough. I'm thinking it's the Rokid Hub which probably can't passthrough 65W. I don't think it could even do 30W. Probably more like 18W or so. I wish there was a legit USB-C hub with USB-C DP out that could handle 100W but I dont think there is a such a thing yet.

Does the rokid station support usb c hubs? For example, I have a usb c hub with a 3.5 mm headphone jack that I wanna use to connect my wired headphones to the rokid station. The Ikko ITX-01 Docking Station is a usb c hub/dongle with a built in hifi dac with 2 usb c ports, 3 usb a version 3.2, 3.5 mm headphone and 4.4 mm balance audio, 2 memory card slots, and 4k 60 hz full size hdmi port. I'm looking for a pair of smart glasses that support these features by plugging the smart glasses to a power bank to the usb c hub than plug the usb c hub to my razer blade 15 gaming laptop with it's 4k 144 hz display and 3080 ti gpu while gaming in 4k and plug my xbox controller to the usb c hub from one of the usb a ports. When I'm traveling I can use them usb c hub to my sony xperia 1 iv android phone and enjoy the 4k 120 oled display to the smart glasses while being connected to the rokid station or rokid max.

The fact that the Rokid Station do not have SD card slot make it a deal breaker. If I have a 24hr+ international flight, the Station is useless. I'm not going to pay for air plane wifi to access streaming service. Wish they think this through when they design the device.

@@bradbindson9922 should work the first version of the rokid station was often pictured with a rokid air and its just brings the picture to the ar glass, so should work with all at glasses,monitors with usb c to hdmi cable, your ar glass rokid air also just serves as monitor for the android tv it seems, same with steamdeck and others.

@@HayNakuDiba you will soon be able to install any apps you want on the Beam. It not be a fully polish experience like an Android TV device but it will be more like a phone one instead.

Why do these glasses look so ugly though?! No matter how high-tech these gadgets are they need to put in some work into the design of the glasses. They are so goofy right now and will struggle to go mainstream until they improve the appeal design wise.

That's why you have the XREAL Air which I have and I looks like normal glasses in public. As much as I like the Rokid Max I'm just gonna wait for XREAL to come out with their next set and hopefully it will do true 120Hz full time. Right now they have a beta for 70Hz I think. The update just got pushed recently but it's not full time tho. In the meantime I'm enjoying my XREAL Air with my Beam!

The controller is actually a certified google tv device and you can plug it into any pair of glasses with a usb-c connection and also connect to other monitors and devices with the proper adapters, if you wish to not go the plug and play direction.
