Roky was not able to play the music industry games. His talent went by unnoticed for years. It makes you think of all the talent that was lost circa 60's 70's 80's because of mental health and drug use.

Rocky Erickson is the great rocker, the restless and anticonformistic and sensitive man, the genial writer. A young life burned in a glory role in music history, the sadness of the time past and gone... But people still love him, the man he is now, a living legend but full of humanity. Remains many questions with no answers...? Unforgettable person and musician, this is sure

If that doesn't make you feel I don't know what will. I'm his second cousin, so I'm of course a bit jaded (not about him... but if you're born into something it's in your nature to rebel). I remember when I was about seven years old, going to visit him at my great aunt's house. She lived in this old Austinite hippie house where the pool, which had long dried and was now caked with leaves had all these sea creatures painted on the inside, so when the pool was full, it looked like these happy

This is longer and has an extra verse than in the "You're Gonna Miss Me" film, but it's the same performance. My guess is the film had it edited down for time. I'm really glad the full version leaked out, even if it's only audio.

I always thought the version in the film was kind of short.

They sing in agreeance to the beauty and Harmony of pure souls: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n8BkotiQl7KVj2Q.html Also, check out Chelsea's cover for "Night of The Vampire" I've been blessed to see both of these folks play live and I must say that these two beings are of the most inwardly beautiful people I've ever seen before in my entire life. If music is an expression of an inner "something", there's a lot of Something these folks emit from their centres, as if by Pure Light. I've never been as in awe as when I listen to their music. They speak from a very true, and powerful place. Almost like Divine Messengers of The Stars. Impossible to ignore, They Shine. Watching Nature in Her Harmony speaking to and/or With Them, is such a powerful, beautiful, moving thing. I stay away from the news, so I didn't know Roky had passed until Chelsea played tribute to him. But I couldn't imagine a better, or kinder way to have heard about his passing than in her announcement of his passing than through her own dedication to him. When I saw him play live, there was so much light emitting from him in droves... and everybody was so caught up in his joy that they smiled and danced with so much inner happiness. Aside from the birth of my only child, this memory is one of the happiest and most beautiful moments of my entire life. I've never seen a performer/musician/singer do anything like it since. Probably never will again. This guy was Rare.

There's alot of different levels of talent in music. And when that's combined with training, it can lead to success. But sometimes someones so gifted that all you can describe them as is 'incredible' and 'unconventional'.

sea creatures that looked like they were going to eat you... fish, sharks, octupuses in this old decrepit pool. Sunlight through the windows, but this musty feeling in the air. i met him then. He was sitting on a couch. My father said, "This is Roky," and I remember feeling creeped out, like even though he was kind, this man was not of this earth. Of course I'm all of seven, with eyes as big as saucers. He said very little. He still says very little, but he has a kind look in his eye.

It sounds like someone is crying in the background, or at least sniffling a bit. If you consider your nose to be 12 o'clock, the sound is between 10 and 8 (or right around your left ear) if this makes any sense.
