There will be very few athletes in our time that near perfection. In saying that however, Luca Lucaroni eclipses all beliefs and expectation of what we can achieve. Enjoy this brief moment with greatness at the 2019 German Cup. Luca went on to win the 2019 World Championships later that year.

I am so amazed by this. I am a big time figure skating fan and I have no idea how I have not heard of “artistic roller skating” until now. I love how he used the 1Lo to connect the 3F(or 3Lz, I’m not sure how to tell the edge) and 3Lo, like euler but without switching the foot.

Extraordinary in every way: Technically difficult, athletically daunting elements executed as if "easy." Choreography is ONE with the music--through the entire program (Many use the music in some places, but largely ignore it as mere background audio). Artistry is spectacular! Attractive costumes, permits seeing fine muscular physique working the movements and feats. Polished with exquisite posture, and finest dance form. Many skaters incorporate one or more of these elements. Kudos to Luca Lucaroni, who sets the bar so high that few obtain it--and likely will not surpass it--because he masterfully includes ALL elements in his skating programs. Luca is an inspirational joy to watch!!!!!

What a stunning programme! Gorgeous choreo and beautiful transitions throughout. Superb attention to detail for the whole programme. Jumps, spins etc were lovely. The whole programme was a pleasure to watch, and as a pro (ice) figure skater myself, I applaud him! 👏🏻💖 Fantastic!

He's simply the best of all time! Wow! I competed when his coach was King, but it seems as though Luca has passed the torch to Luca 💕👑

I'm curious, what usually has a person choose roller skating over figure skating, when there is a larger audience and more opportunities for figure skaters?

@@zurieljoshua I started rollerskating at 10 years old after I saw another skater on the floor and loved it. The thought of doing ice over roller never entered my head, and I stuck with it until I was 23 yrs old. It gave me opportunities to compete and travel internationally and at a world class level for a sport that wasn't highly recognized in North America. For me, it was doing something different, and I loved it! That being said, many ice skaters start off on roller and switch later on. Tara Lapinski is a big name former roller skater 😊
