Serverev in R1. That's what Oldal gets for threatening NOT to play RG. A draw he won't even make it through. He should've retired in 2022 after winning, but his ego wouldn't let him. Hasn't really done anything since but lose, be injured, & roll around in oil drums.

Zverev, the worst guy for Rafa to play first round. He will just grind and test Rafa’s fitness which is not there yet. I think he would have a better chance versus Sinner or Carlos coming off injuries than Sasha right now.

Look at the last 5 or 6 French open draw there was always no.1 vs no.3 and no.2 vs no.4 in the semi final. But this time no.2 and no.3 are in the same half means Djokovic will face only one of them that is either Sinner or alcaraz in the final. I think some body is trying to save Djokovic. This is the most biased draw in the French open history.

Thats what a draw is , you never know how it plans out , Djoko still has to pass Casper Ruud in the Quarter Finals probably and then either Medvedev or Zverev in the semi finals before reaching the final . thats gonna be 1 hell of a task on its own .

Dear me. Rafa against Zverev .. it could not have been a more difficult 1st round for Nadal. This is actually insane... But then I thought. Wait a second. Rafa will sort of get the most in form and confident best playing clay court opponent in his first round, when he is fresh to play! Think about it. If he had met Zverev in the fourth round for instance and then had an in-form Rune, Sinner and Ruud to play, who knows if he would be able to last the tournament. Rafael is probably in shock too, and I do not think he should play a seed at all in his first round as he needs matches to improve, so the tournament should reconsider this match as it will be like the final in the first round, and to loose Zverev this early is not good for the tournament either as all of us wants these 2 players to go deep, as Zverev is so strong right now coming from a Masters 1000 tournament win. If Nadal should beat Zverev this year he has to take a lot of risks I am afraid. I heard Nadal would be seeded but then he has not been so, and the tournament ruins his carrier completely. Nadal has to almost hope for a new injury for Zverev, maybe he can make him run fast from side to side a few points and then when he is exhausted hit the ball really hard and fast so Zverev automatically strives to get it and hurts himself. On the other hand if Nadal wins the match it will give him a lot of confidence for sure. I fear Rune in his section as well but there is no challenge such as Zverev right now. How I hate this first round draw for Nadal... Maybe the court case with Zverev will take some of his attention rhough. The crowd will cheer for Nadal, but this will be such a hard match to watch if Nadal looses. I noticed how Nadal struggled against Zverev two years ago when he broke his foot and it was awful of course but I was glad that is happened so Nadal could win as Zverev was really up for that task.

The draws are computer generated and if you are not seeded you can get very unlucky. Both are great for the fans just bad that they are so early.

@@S6brapoiss_Tupsu Not all the wildcards got easy first round matches. The draw is computer generated, you can get lucky or unlucky. The only guarantee is that seeded players can’t play another seed in the first round. Rafa got unlucky, Nishikori got lucky. That is the way it goes.

Great draw for Alcaraz and Nadal. Althought Sinner has improved a lot. Nadal vs Zverev could decide if Nadal wins the title right there. Reminder 10% Nadal beat PEAK Zverev here last time in under 2 sets. Also Zverev has that court case cloud hanging over him, that I believe he has to face in a week or something. Then Nadal has 4th seed status and the 1st quarter is stacked that many upsets could happen and players tire each other out.

As usual certain top 10 players get the tougher “drew” no matter what their ranking is while others always seem to get a cake walk in order to build their confidence (target practice 😉) through to the quarter finals of every match before seeing a top seed or “break out 🔥” player like Collins 😉 such a shame! Nadal form is not great at the moment, it is not guaranteed he will win against any top 50 player. So in a certain way it would be better to lose against Zverev on Nadal's last match in Roland Garros that to lose to a lesser player.
