Josh is assisting a couple in the store who are interested in two-tone Rolex Submariners and a black dial, two-tone Datejust 41. They quickly decide to focus on the Submariners, exploring the options from the "bluesy" to the black dial Sub, and finally to a new reference steel and gold blue dial Submariner. Josh explains the differences between each model, including how to distinguish a 40mm version from a 41mm one.
A gentleman, looks for an offer on his 1995 36mm yellow gold Day-Date, as a potential part exchange for a brand new 2024 full yellow gold 126718GRNR GMT-Master II. Will he accept the price given or just buy the black and grey bezelled GMT outright?
Spotting the difference between two references of full gold Daytonas can be very difficult, as this customer finds out. An avid collector of the world famous Daytona range, he’s come to see if he can make a deal with Josh, part exchanging his 2016 steel, black dial 116500 reference Daytona for a full gold version.
A customer sits with Joe to try and decide on a white gold Patek Philippe Calatrava, or it’s rose gold counterpart. It’s a tough decision and like this gentleman, we wish we could have both in our watch collections as well.
Two 26mm Rolex Oyster Perpetuals have been brought into the store. Both almost identical except for one small detail on the dial. But will a scratch on one and a tiny chip on the other be a deal breaker? Josh has his work cut out as the customer looks to push the price up as high as he can make it.

The Rolex is a better watch imo, i bought a submariner in switzerland in 1978, it was the right size for me, and it had unidirectional rotatable bezel. Now, I'm curious to see how much it's worth today, so I'm planning to do a little research.

Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $22million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.

I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs IITU and IUCM.

While I agree, it makes some sense. Right now, they risk holding onto product longer than before when it was flying off the shelf. If the market declines before they sell, they need the extra room to make their margins without taking a loss. if it sells right away, it means higher profit on that piece giving them more of a cushion when sales are low for the week. When product is expected to sell the next day, you can tighten it up and know you are making the typical 10-20%. I think this is starting to put more of a discrepancy between private sellers and grey market. Private sellers don't have overhead.

Just wanted to thank you guys for producing these videos. You all get a lot of crap for various things maybe some warranted and others not. Truth is half of these people don’t run businesses and maybe the other half or the other quarter that do, never blast or post any of their internal dealings for the world to see every week. I find it valuable and I think it’s awesome to watch deals succeed, or fail.

Have you ever put the yacht master on your wrist? You’re entitled to your own opinion on whether you like it or not because watches are very subjective, but put one on see how you like it. That’s the only fair way of really knowing whether the watch is something great. Personally, the rhodium is a lot better but both beautiful watches. The platinum on the watch pops when you see it in person.
