Yep, only the precious metal ones are kind if worth it, otherwise not really when you need a loupe to spot any inconsistencies.

I own a real Pepsi, but I do wonder why sometimes… i agree with the comment that it is a display of wealth, but in all honesty it was my dream watch for more than 25 years before i was able to comfortably afford one. I’m not into cars or fancy clothes, so it was the one expensive thing I bought for myself. I know it doesn’t justify it, but that was my reason. I have a high quality fake AP Royal Oak, and tbh it looks great, works great and I’m not scared to wear it in less safer countries. It has a reliable Japanese movement and keeps great time. So really there’s very little downside

That's not even the best fakes, the 1000 - 1500 fakes are damn near perfect.

BPF Factory. They have several different Pepsi's at different levels of quality, and that factory is well known and respected in the world of "super-clones". (If you're 81 and you love the Pepsi, then I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're a Magnum P.I. fan like I am. Selleck wore an original Pepsi in the show.)

@@wristenthusiast it was the angle of the metal connecting the case back to the case. I looked at mine and it’s almost flat. That one was almost like a ski slope

The Clean factory case and case back are both 1-1, direct swap. This isn't a super clone, it's got the SA 3285 movement which is too thick.

Zman --- I'm with you. I could afford, but do not have, a Rolex. I struggle with spending $8-11k for an Explorer, nevermind how difficult it can be via the AD route. Some fakes are getting so good you have to take off the watch and have someone use a loupe to find the fake. I can live knowing its not the real deal. Think I'd find it hard not to save $10,000 for something else... or give to my kids.

Thinking through this a bit more for fun and equating it to art as an analogy, it seems more acceptable to buy copycat reproduction of well-known artwork to avoid paying high prices for the original or authorized print. One could argue those copycat reproductions are "fakes" as well, yet no one blinks an eye when that occurs. Disney has lots of intellectual property in their characters, however many people are willing to use Disney's characters for profit and gain without authorization. I see the reason to not buy replica watches as it protects the interest of those who own the real Rolex watches, but I also see the reason why people buy replicas because it's a bit ridiculous how outrageous the prices are compared to the value it provides... unless of course the watches are made of rare precious metals like gold.

If it needs service, you buy a new one. Do you know how much the service of a gen Rolex is? You can buy 2 super clones for it.

You obviously go to the rep community in search of a watchmaker, that is if you really don't find any locally which would do it for you, which I doubt would happen, if you look hard enough you'll find someone. Otherwise maybe learn to do it yourself, grab a ultrasonic cleaner and baskets, 2 burgeon screwdrivers or a set of chinese ones that's around 80 dollars, those are good too, a pair of precision tweezers and a watch opener for rolex, some lubricants and applying brushes. You'll easily be able to do it yourself, take a lot of pictures and the only genuinely hard parts would be to lubricate the jewels. But hell, if you ask for a service before they ship the rep to you and pay for it you'll not need to service it for like 10 years nor regulate it.

It's not question of better spend money 600$ vs 16k it's two different classes of the same thing. They both have their advantages. GMT master Pepsi at AD you can forget about it it will not happen

Buy the seller is the best advice if you can’t get from an AD. In the unlikely event something gets buy them you’ll still be safe.

That fake one is not even a top notch replica, the best ones I have seen have a fully cloned movement which makes the thickness identic. Second - the bezel on the fake one is supose to mimic the mk1 bezel, which has that faded tone to it. So bezel not really a big giveaway. I almost bought a franken Pepsi last year, the watch had a genuine dial, crystal and hands. Only think that gave it away was the rehaut engravings, but you need a genuine watch to compare, if not you dont have a chanse of telling its a fake watch.

These are way better than, let's say, a Seiko 5 GMT. I know because I had one which I sold after receiving this rep. The Seiko is garbage in comparison

Exactly...super clones are not "fake" watches. they are actually working watches that clone genuine watches. If you need to look at my watch with a microscope or take the back off to determine if I spend $12k or $600 I will go ahead and buy the super clone and pocket the difference to spend on something else. I own a genuine Omega Seamaster and a Rep Rolex Submariner. Not one person in the last two years has ever asked me if my Rolex is real or fake.

Yeah the latest super clones are impossible to tell from the real ones without opening the case back and comparing with a magnifying loop. The level of finishing is absolutely astounding.

That’s the really hard part. When you don’t have a genuine watch next to it to spot the differences. That’s why finding a trustworthy seller is so important.
