I own a replica Rolex Datona. That one is a good looking copy. But they are only for occasional night out wear. If you wore it everyday the gold plating would soon wear of. Also they are much lighter in weight because the are made of alloy metal, and solid gold is very heavy. But for a fun night out watch they are great.

Reading some of the comments, I don't think people know what the Daytona is. The Daytona is a stop watch. The two smaller buttons on the side are start/stop and reset buttons. The big second sweeping arm (on the main dial) stays still until the stop/start button is pressed. The 2 small dials at the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock serves as minutes and hours that pass. The small second hand dial at 6 o'clock is always running and is the default current time. Still, this fake is very well made. Couple of things that stand out right away is that the crown on the strap clasp is a separate piece soldered on. It should instead be a solid piece crafted entirely from one piece of metal. Also, on the back plate, there is no engraving of the Rolex name.

I cannot understand why people complain about the strap or anything else on this watch. When all said and done it's a replica, it's a copy, it's a fake so stop complaining and go buy one as I have and I think they are fantastic for the price. Like someone suggested, go buy an original strap for it and you have a darn good copy of a classic Rolex that only the watchmakers and good jewellers will spot. An every day me or you would never know and even with this cheap strap I wouldn't have know because I will never be able to afford an original. maybe some of you own an original but seriously how do you know it is original? For all you know it could be a Swiss movement and not the Japanese movement. You can actually buy these with the Swiss movement and then try to distinguish from the original makes it even more difficult to do.

This Daytona Replica is actually not bad for $75 US. Good Replicas in the U.S. range from $200(japanese movement) to $500 plus for Swiss made Replicas. The weight, band, and engraved caseback are dead giveaways so you can't take it off. I personally would not purchase a low level Replica like this one but if I was young 'why not'...

Patrick, I do think to review this copy watch you could have done some research on the internet. This would have made for a more informative review even if you were unable to have a real one to compare. One example is when you adjust the time you have to turn the winder backwards to make the hands go forward, this you did not mention. I do own a brand new Daytona 116520 and it is a fantastic watch.

You can tell a Fake Daytona immediately, the seconds hand is located on the bottom sub dial. and moves all the time. the large seconds hand only moves when you operate the Chronograph making it immediately recognisable as a fake.

As opposed to the real one it has really big crown guards and the clasp is definitely not right, also the print is too thick and the sweep of that seconds hand is really jumpy when compared to the genuine article.
