The 16610 production years were 1989 - 2010 with very few changes throughout the production run like moving from tritium luminescent materials to luminova and then superluminova around 1999. It lost the though lug holes around 2002 during the mid Y serial production and added rehaut engraving during the last few years of it’s production run before being replaced by the ceramic 116610LN . I bought this same M serial 16610 new in 2010 when all the ceramic subs were rolling in to the AD's. I did not like the new maxi case at all and it had a $2,000 price premium which made it even more annoying at the time. I had to scour multiple AD's and ended up locating one 150 miles away. Still have it to this day mint and rarely worn with all box papers and receipt. Having already owing a few pre-owned Rolex sports models, this was my first NEW Rolex purchase at the time however since then, my taste have changed and I have been more interest in vintage to slight vintage Rolex with lug holes. I've actually given serious thought of selling it and buying a early 90's 16610 with the tritium dial and drilled through luge holes which I'm sure some will find strange.

I have the same watch no date as the original model, bought it 2009. The only difference I can notice between this one and mine are the holes that hold the bracelet shown on the case. Love to see in this video what this watch represents to Rolex collectors.

You forgot to mention one of the most important thing of that particular watch is the big F. Only two years were made. 2007-2009

I just watched a video of a Rolex 14060 2007-2009 no date but what they say is uncommon is the big F or long F on the abbreviation feet is this normal or rare?

Out of curiosity, do the submariners from 2001-2009 have solid center links?
