I live in New York and Miami I wear all my Rolex everywhere, people think is fake anyways since in Dominican young and dress like a bum 🤷🏽‍♂️, I do feel more comfortable in Miami since I cary my firearms on me. It’s a shame some people can’t enjoy their pieces in fear of getting mugged, but that’s the times we’re living in.

I have the Sub date and SMP white dial on bracelet. Great watches and great value (at AD pricing for the Rolex). I only wear durable watches that fit my lifestyle and activities. I've surfed/skied/biked/hiked with both. Rock solid. I find the Rolex a little more comfortable. Feels silky. When prices went up, the SMP saw more water time. I don't seem to care anymore. Both perform and look great irrespective of the occasion or attire. 🤙

I love my Seamaster, but would love a no date Sub one day.

Personally, I love both Rolex and the Omega, but if I had to choose between the two, I pick the omega. The omega has more features, updated looks, no extra fee for different colors, and easier and more adjustable bracelet, and half the price of the Rolex. I would still love to get a Rolex Submariner, and hope to get one in future. Having said that the Seamaster is my preferred choice for now Edit fixed bad typos

Hey just found your channel. From another CA resident, enjoyed the video. I have the smp in both white and black and tempomat rubber straps are worth checking out for some fun options. I haven't tried zealande but have the oem rubber. Tempo comes in around $85 and although it took a couple weeks to get to CA I've been impressed so far. Cheers from the Central Coast!

Just wanted to thank you for your honest review about the Zealande strap. You covered all of the points which I was most concerned about vs some of the other reviews which stated the strap was equivalent to the factory omega strap (which I had found hard to believe). I bought the watch on steel which I quite enjoy but wanted a rubber option. At this point I'm probably leaning towards an omega strap from the AD. Really liking the videos, have a good one.

Cool new intro- Cost aside, if someone was giving me one or the other I’d pick the Rolex strictly based on looks and lineage. But Omega certainly makes movements that are world class. It’s just a visual thing for me.

I got the white/black omega in the bracelet last year... Two weeks ago I had the chance to get the Sea Dweller in my hands but I found no justification to buy it since I already have the seamaster... so I passed and I got the Explorer instead (36mm) which I really enjoy ...

I'm with you, Tony--I like both Rolex and Omega. Definitely tip the scales in Rolex's direction but that Omega looks badass on that white band. I was going to write that before this video that it really pops on the white strap. And best part--no freakin' APs lol 🤙

Everything about the video is a given as far as how awesome both of these watches are and how incredibly honest this man is. It is always a joy to watch him. He is just a regular guy just like all of us who is passionate about his watches. Having said that, the one thing that jumps out of this video is how "sh...." the Zealande strap is. So freaking funny.

I have the 300, I bought it on bracelet and hardly ever wear it so a couple day's ago ordered a rubber strap. I hope it gets more wrist time on the rubber if not I might as well sell it , but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Sub is awesome. Lucky to have one and a titanium PO. Also have a Seiko MM which honestly feels as robust as those watches.

Nice review✌️ Have you had a chance to compare the Zealande strap to a Rubber B? Got the SMP Seaweed back in October… well am I impressed..? F to the yep I am. I’ll be continuing my Omega journey for sure. Rolex pros for me is mainly the bracelet. It’s much better than the Omega bracelet. Yes the bezel is easier to turn on Rolex, but I don’t think the finish as such is better than on the Omega. I like the dial better on the SMP but wouldn’t have mind the HEV being more discreet. Case and 3136 movement… Omega is beating Rolex on both. I can’t believe how smooth the Omega winds. Feel like something much more exquisite. The transition between brushed and polish is top notch on the SMP. I have both Omega and Rolex, so I’m not a brand fan by any means.

The fact that the Omega is being compared to a watch that costs almost double speaks volumes for the quality of the Omega. I’ve seen it being called the sub killer, which I know is hyperbole but does underline the quality of Omega now.

“It’s a Rolex man” sums it up. The Rolex isn’t technically superior, but it wears the crown in the dive watch segment. More or less the same since inception, makes me think of the Porsche 911. The Omega is doing something new, but they really need to improve the bezel its near unusable.

I really think that the difference between Rolex and Omega is not that big ... some voices are saying that Omega 300m is a better watch compared spec and spec with Rolex Sub ... I think that just the brand recognition is in favor of Rolex...Omega movement seems to be better

You got a better color for that omega strap? White strap is really killing the contrast and making the seamaster look cheap! Next to sub... white dial and white strap looks so wrong, man. Looks all faded out and lost that attractiveness of contrast

For me owning omega smp 300 for few months and went to try on Rolex sub at the AD, I’m going to say Rolex is better although I can’t buy them it’s just more comfortable and more desirable

Good job Tony I’m still on nights and I’m rocking the submariner date. I don’t have the new seamaster but I have the older 41 blue ceramic and it’s a sweet watch but not better than the new submariner date 41mm. Rolex has the hands down much better bracelet. Have a good night.

Don't be hating on Zealande! They make great traps, at a fraction of the cost that other brands have. Also the fact that most likely Alex signed your card personally gives it even more charm. I have a white strap from them that I have taken care of with acetone free nailpolish remover for 2 years now and it looks sparkling white and new. So the price vs benefit is unbeatable! also i dont want to hate but the tudor is 3.5k and the omega is 5.1k so for sure the omega is better. now between the rolex and the omega, it is up to you and i think all opinions are subjective :P great intro thought! :D

Omega is a great Everday watch and for me it was the best choice over the Rolex being its ability to not be affected by this highly utilized electronic world we live in and work in. the accuracy of both watches is great being they are mechanical. I hate that you have to be afraid to wear your Rolex being you work hard for your pleasures of having a Rolex. I could not own something I couldn't completely enjoy. I know people that have Rolex say the same you say about fear of wearing. Because of the Rolex hype that media and the very wealthy put Rolex as a privilege only the wealthy can have, and the waiting list and higher price tag makes it a target for Criminals. Looking at Omega, the watches are equal quality. spec wise. Ball Watch even use the same Steel as Rolex. and Ball watches constantly get slept on.

If you like classic styling go Rolex, If you like modern go with the Omega. I like the classics just a little more so I have to go with the Rolex.

Okay, Rolex guy! It’s so funny, all kidding aside! You hold two Rolex bags up, show several Rolex watches, state that the Omega is your ‘everyday’ watch and then say you like the Rolex! Man up, then and wear your Rolex, everyday! I sure it! So many ‘lock’ up their Rolex watches and wear something else! Not me, man! I would wear whatever I want, anywhere I want and I live in NYC! I held and tried on, the Sea Dweller and the Submariner and could have bought the Sea Dweller from an AD, this past Christmas. However, I thought about it, carefully! Yes, the Sub is nice on the wrist but so is the Seamaster and the Seamaster’s bracelet is actually nicer and higher quality! My opinion! Bug also, I find that many Rolex enthusiasts can be subjective. It’s the most ‘iconic’ watch of all time, the bezel is better, easier and smoother, etcetera, etcetera! The bottom line is that you should wear what you like, as you said and you broke your first rule because you’re ‘NOT’ wearing, everyday what you like! I happen to like the Seamaster better, true but you don’t deserve that Seamaster! That would be like me keeping my ‘favorite’ jacket in the closet because I don’t want to get it ‘scuffed’ up or damaged and instead, wearing a ‘less’ desirable one! You can see it on your face as you even go to describe the Seamaster! Sell the Omega and wear your Rolex! Be happy, man!

Rolex is a double edged sword in that regard. We're drawn to the brand but there's a stigma to wearing one. I've have a dj, a sub, and a yachmaster. They're more like trophies to me than watches. But on the other hand, I wear Omegas daily. Omega feels more at home on wrist without all the negative stigma

Don't even have to watch the video I am shure it is great :-) Omega is in my eyes the winner. However all is a matter of personal preference and taste. If you like a Rolex go for Rolex if you like Omega go with Omega simple as that. I am simply sick of those comparison videos Rolex vs Omega. Have a great night/day

Have the Omega Seamaster but prefer my Selko LX titanium spring drive just so completely accurate. As for the Rolex don't want a watch where someone is going to stab you for it it's not worth the hassle Anyway great video

No match sub can take down SMaster

I think Rolex makes a fine product, but their business model requires prospective owners to engage in essentially drug dealing, and I have no time or interest in that. In the last two years, I’ve bought a SMP300 black dial and a 3861 Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich and I feel everything from the purchase experience to some of the design elements are superior. Thanks, Rolex!

The Sub’s the boss. The Seamaster the apprentice. :-) Actually I like them both, but the Sub takes it for me on all counts. Design, no HEV, bracelet & glide clasp, hands, dial, value retention etc etc. ps. I own both Rolex & Omega (3861 Speedy) so am not overly brand biased. Cheers 🍻
