One tiny thing, Garth... If you do accidentally wind all the way through a roll, you don't need to throw it away, just re-spool it back onto another spool in a dark bag!

I have purchased 3 vintage cameras on EBay. The focus is frozen on one and out of adjustment on the other 2. All require being sent for a CLA and/or repairs.

How comes you didnt just wait until you got the photos back and then put them in the video?

If you want a new focus screen have a look at Rick Olson. He is in the states. Prices are excellent and the quality compares with the Maxwell screens which are way more expensive. We are talking about £85 delivered but excluding import costs. He is one of the good guys, fast turn around and I highly recommend him, the difference is like night and day. Funnily. I sent my MX EVS to Newton Ellis in Liverpool to have the shutter rebuilt, the winding mechanism serviced and fully CLA'd. They did a superb job.

@@MurphysFilm lol, “fling.” I guess I’ve been married-lumps and all-to my old lady 2.8f Rolleiflex for decades now. I had an emotional affair with my freind’s Leica for a while from afar but the ok’ girl keeps calling me back.

Shooting “wide open” is not all its cracked up to be. Aside from the “no lens is sharp wide open” trope, when your shoot at f/2.8, no aperture blades are being used. Stop down by, say, one stop, and you’ll have much better results.

Great video man.. I've been saving for some time to put money down on a 2.8f I'm just a little overwhelmed as I don't feel confident in purchasing.. especially from ebay, like I'd love to have one on the way right now but am hesitate as I don't know whether or not I'm A) gonna get ripped off -- especially with ebay... does the standard meets pricing :S B) better off getting cheaper and servicing as you mentioned Have you any recommendations?? Any and all information would be amazing 👏
