Rollers are sketch enough without trying to do tricks. The Rhino Rush team practices at the Endurance Training Center and on this night, we wanted to see how much skill some of the fellas had. The skill challenge quickly devolved into Roller Battles with some pretty epic crashes... no rollers. Fun!

@@bretmohler9719 its a warmup-tool made to be cycled on for 10-15 minutes, if you want to go long distance, you should definitely buy a turbo trainer.

@@bxnny6657 I'm familiar with rollers and when and how people use them. Can still be something someone finds to be not engaging enough to use in their routine. Hell for events I have done I just warm up by riding around the event area but some like rollers so they can stay close by or maybe it's an indoor event. I currently own a wahoo kickr so also know about when and where those fit in to training plans.

@@bretmohler9719 Yea okay, i just thought you were knew to using rollers so i wanted to give some advice. I also own a kickr just got it 1 day ago its a v4, before i used a tacx flux 2 before but the v4 was less noisy and had way better specs, i also love the kickr because you can adjust the legs so you can use it on an uneven surface.

@@bxnny6657 yeah it has been a good device to have around but I'm still never too amped about being indoors and riding. It's kinda a thing out of last resort to get in some efforts now that I have a young one around and can't just go ride on a whim 😑 I also moved to an area where a ride now entails driving somewhere first instead of just leaving the house on the bike. But as far as a trainer goes it does about all I could ask for so I can't complain abouts it's functional aspect.

As a fellow roller rider, I can appreciate what it actually takes to do these maneuvers. I think of all the "tests" shown here, I can do: Stand sprints, low gear/low cadence. Pretty sure the low gear high cadence, bunny hopping, and the one legged would result in me dumping it, haha! (Basically what happened to the guy doing most of the talking)

Jeez none of these guys ever heard of a floating roller? I mean sure they can ride these old school rollers but look at how carefully they get up off the saddle. Way too restrictive for decent training...what's the point?
