You were obviously stigmatized to what happened to your P365 and don't blame you for not relying on the P365. However, you probably had one of the few earlier P365's which had growing pains but were eventually updated and now have been the most sought after and most reliable micro pistol.

I was a bit confused when talking about being influenced by other people's anecdotal stories though....and he says people at the shops tell him Sigs and Kimbers are the ones they see with the most issues.....but then says he's got the Kimber micro and anticipates it going into his carry rotation. Lol. I mean, carry what you like and what you're comfortable with.....but I've heard as many horror stories about Kimbers as I have Sigs.

@@spnfirearmsWhat specifically did your gunsmith say was the issue? For all we know it could have been a round that had a too long OAL and the bullet got stuck on the chamber lead. That exact thing happened to me with a HK USP Compact. Not th fault of the gun at all.

In general, I hear SIG's warranty response isn't that great. There's KZfaq channel's regarding their P322's lead fouling, sent back to SIG, SIG supposedly fixed it, but people experienced the same lead fouling again. SIG is also denying that their P320's are going off in law enforcement's holsters and it's the officer's fault for accidentally pulling the trigger.

I been carrying my P365 XL for about 1 1/2 yrs straight now.....over 3k rounds thru it. I had a failure to feed 2 times in a row around the 1k mark but i think it was due to the gun being pretty dirty (i wanted to really test it so i didnt clean it really often at first). Other than that, the last 2k + rds have been absolutely flawless. I love the look of the hellcat but i really dont like the trigger that much. I rented one. The sheild plus on the other hand........🤔

I’m sure I’ll get called a “boomer” or whatever, but this is exactly why I carry a S&W 442 Performance Center every day. I’ve carried a lot of firearms over the years and the ones that have never ever failed me is my revolvers. Yes, I get it, revolvers can have issues too. But they’re a rarity and very few and far between. I know that thing is going to go bang every time I pull the trigger. And if it doesn’t I just pull the trigger again. I’m not worried about capacity. I’m almost 40, married, and have kids. I don’t go to sketchy areas and don’t stay out late. And in my almost 40 years I’ve never had to even draw a firearm as a civilian and the likelihood is I never will. I’ll take 5 guaranteed shots any day over “well I hope this semi auto cycles”. I can literally shoot any kind of round including round nose, wadcutters, hollow points, etc. etc.
@deucedeuce1572
@deucedeuce1572 3 ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with that... as long as you have at least 5 backup guns you should be fine. Joking aside, many people carry Glock 43's and other similar guns... and they only hold 7rds. It is good to have backup mags though for quick reloads... but revolvers can be reloaded pretty quick too, even though you'll probably never need to. I highly recommend it though. I have seen many cases in which people really did need more than 5 or 6 rounds. In a life or death situation, 6 rounds will be gone in an instant, so if that's all you have (without reloads or a backup), you gotta bet your life that you'll get the job done in that first 2-3 seconds. I've seen dozens of cases in which people used guns in self defense and when asked how many times they fired their gun they would say they only fired 2 or 3 shots... but in reality they fired 10+ rounds or even emptied their magazines. It happens to cops a lot too.

Honestly... I think I would want a Glock style trigger safety on a P365 before I'd consider carrying one. It's such a simple idea, that invokes a great sense of assurance, and doesn't get in the way of the operation of the gun, that a thumb safety would. That's why when searching for a new micro 9 to replace my Ruger Max 9, I'm most likely going to ended up with a Hellcat, or Hellcat Pro. Still not sure which one, they both look great. Now, if only Glock and Walther can get their stack and halves out on the market. Then, it would be a no brainer.

Most guns are great today, and very reliable. but, what makes difference a lot of times is how clean they are and the ammo you shoot in them. I've had a few james in glocks over the past 13 years I have had a lot of ammo problems that could be identified through shooting in different guns and same make/model guns. Honestly I have had a jam in a 365 as well, but as far as I remember they have been mostly reliable with few jams in the 4 I have. All my sigs are pre 23 and only small and XL no macros with no mods.

@deucedeuce1572
@deucedeuce1572 3 ай бұрын
I've never heard of any going off by themselves. The trigger was pulled before the gun discharged in any of the cases I've seen (it just didn't release the striker right away until it was shook). That happens when the trigger is stopped too soon before it releases the striker, like when people buy adjustable triggers and the overtravel screw backs out... and/or if they put too thick of a spacer on their trigger stop pin. It's not really an issue and it's extremely easy to fix. If you do plan to buy one, I wouldn't consider that a reason to not buy one. Like with any gun that's ever existed, you have to clean, oil, maintain, inspect and shoot it to make sure it's safe and in good working condition. ANY gun can become dangerous for one reason or another, so it's up to the owner to know his guns are in safe, working condition and to keep them like that. (I believe that is why if a person owns a firearm, he should know precisely how the firearms works and how to assemble, disassemble, clean and maintain it).

I love my 365s. I put my regular 365 on a WC365XL grip mod and it works great. I love my X Macro TacOps as well. It's probably the gun I'm the most accurate with. I've hit a penny at 35 yards with it and both have yet to fail me. But if I trusted any in my rotation, I wholly trust my Shield Plus and Gen 3 G19 more than any. It's the cliche, loaded pipe thing for me. I carry appendix, and if I ever had a discharge in that position you may as well take me out back and finish me off, lol. I know that's a beat-to-death question/concern, but I would really like to see some real, hands-on, rough testing with them to ensure they're truly safe to keep a freedom pill in the pipe. Maybe some smacking around with a rubber mallet, bumping it into shit, hard-like, etc. I'm 100% aware of other videos showing the same, but I trust your content, testing, and opinion more.

Something to be investigated is Springfield’s website states “not to drop your firearm because it may go off”

I was hesitant buying a hellcat being made in Croatia, but field strip a hellcat and look how it was built I think some American companies making firearms should take a look and learn from them

@@johnaddamo9677 I prefer European made guns over American anyways unless it’s a S&W. The company that makes the hellcat makes war guns and has learned a lot from real world applications. Hellcat all day

Don’t get mad that sigs have the most issues. I have never carried my kimber once. Quit acting like you know.

@@spnfirearms simply pointing out you saying you won’t carry p365 because of gunsmith said but said you will probably carry the kimber even though gunsmith named kimber with the sigs. I don’t have a brand favorite I’m not a fanboy. You are clearly bias against sig and that’s fine just admit it. Like others have commented it seems like it hurts you the p365 was better then hellcat in 500 round shoutout. Like u want to hate it. I carry a variety of pistols. VP9SK ,Bul Armory Axe C Tomahawk, Echelon with ports, XMacro comp, Shield Plus, M&P 5.7, Canik MC9, Canik Rival SFX..I like good pistols not just a particular brand. I have no biases.

There is no reason to carry a gun that's failed when you have others that haven't.
