This is so cool to see Eldon on the channel, in this capacity! I have seen him zipping around on his 4 wheeler for years behind Stan and his team, and even on camera a few times. Stan this is cool to get Eldon on this machine and get his feedback on this machine!

Cool machine. Definitely saves time and workers back. I remembered seeing my coworkers shelving snow off the sidewalk while I used the plow truck and salting the parking lot . They were tired after 4 hrs of shelving snow. I was the youngest person there but I was the only one that had a commercial driver license and sometimes I was the only one to have a license.

I remember your video last year covering the SR Mag, and it was fun to see you ripping it around then. It's always fun to see you look at things that I've helped work on. I work at Toro and I helped do some of the drafting for this machine, but now I am helping BOSS out again with the VSI acquisition that you toured a little while ago. Keep up the great content!

I used the previous iteration of this model last year for Greenscape in Massachusetts. I was a PM but had to step in at times when employees would call out and would have to run this machine. The heat is a nice touch to see in the new model but I remember my hands freezing even with good gloves. My recommendation, treat it like a snowmobile and use a electric handle bar warmer under the grips of the controls for some low cost creature comfort. Some sort of a quick float button would be nice too! Other than that the machine was great to run, lots of power, easy to work on/troubleshoot. The shovel holder and rear broadcast spreader is a nice touch instead of the salt bag carrier.

Definitely a good machine in tight side walks. Company just picked up two ventrac 3400y's with heated cabs, both have blowers and brooms. Definitely will be cadillac's out in our area. Hard to believe some companies still shovel everything by hand. This will help us keep working even in the coldest temperatures.

I think the only disadvandage to this rig is that it doesn't have a seat.. you're still standing. also less so of an issue.. is that its not able to be used recreationally outside work. Also think it needs an amber waring light some where on it.. either single pole mounted beacon or a couple of amber LEDs on the sides.

It's a job specific machine that does better than a tractor. Don't get me wrong, a tractor is a great all around machine and it may do ok with snow plowing but you won't be able to do it as well. Kinda like the difference between using a $300 pressure washer vs. a $3000 one. They both can do the job but one does it better and easier.

I have done all the homework, all the study, I have all the vendors and etc lined up and ready to go with a spread sheet with all my calculations for prices. But I have no idea how to find the jobs. Do I got to a GC or do I go to the home builders and developers directly. How do I get in contact and what information is best to provide for them? What would be your best recommendation for finding jobs

Stan very nice machine no a guy has 4 of them because of manpower shortage can do work of many shovelers is it pricey? It all depends on how much it snow in your area and how many contracts you have it a no brained where you live. Think they should have a brush mower attachment and seeder fert. spreader even a dump attachment that mounts to the front would make it worth while in area where not as many snow events per season

Very cool,compact, nice lil machine my only issue is the cost 18k for the machine and 2000 to 4500 for attachments. If my math is right to buy one with the plow,blower and sweeper I’m looking at 28k plus tax. Not saying it’s not worth it.also would like to see it go up against a normal snow blower and see how much faster it would be. Since we are trying to make money faster how much faster is it. Just for example say it takes me 15 minutes to clear a 20x50 drive way with a single stage 21 inch blower. If it got it done in five minutes I could do 3 drives to every one drive with the single stage. Dirt monkey can you have them do a side by side Comparison between the boss snow plow snow blower to a single stage 21 inch blower

Hey Mike, speed is one thing, safety is another. Your using a 21” single stage. No power, but what’s in the tank to throw snow. The mag I believ is capable of 8 mph. Pare that with a 5ft blade and wing extensions, you’re moving snow lickity split. Time and experience will bring you efficiency. Plus the machine is moving snow and the machine. Not just you. Loading and unloading is a sinch

My biggest problem that's reared it's head on a couple different machines is engine performance during sub zero temps and accessory hydraulics being too cold between customer stops...slow plow angles/chute controls and hard starts on broom/snowblower blowing seals on hi flow pumps. They should take note of their toro connection and the 3 piece chute for better locating. Wondering if their enclosed engine performs better than the toro and ariens options.
@CoruptYouth
@CoruptYouth Жыл бұрын
nice compact machine would like to see it go up the slope as well and to offer heat deflection for warmer weather. been looking into these types of machines. would use the plow for grading as well, one of these i believe has a bucket may lift a couple feet but enough to move things around. also like that i don't need a big shed garage open space to store it like a skid steer or tractor nor trailer heavy duty enough to transport. not that i don't have one but not everybody does.

Primer and paint is not a two-stage paint paint in clear coat is a two-stage paint all paints have a primer applied prior. $18,000 and you can't even use the machine unless you buy an attachment for two to four grand after the fact. So 20K like I was thinking. I'd rather had just have a small used skid loader with a v plow like victory outdoor services has. It's perfect for sidewalks but it does much more than sidewalks. And if you find the right auction it's the same price. The machine is cool don't get me wrong but I don't think it's worth $20,000 with probably a Kohler lawn mower engine. I kind of feel the same way about the v-track the ventrac it has a small diesel engine but the rest of it looks like a riding lawn mower it's just stamp sheet metal super cheaply built and pretty damn expensive. Due to having two wheels on each corner it's very stable but it's not a Toro diesel tractor or a yanmar or anything like that.
