Kane is proof that not all great players get trophies for their efforts

I’ve been screaming for years, the most underrated aspect of Kanes game is his dribbling. It doesn’t always look pretty and smooth but he’s got such great control of the ball and can wriggle his way out of tight spaces in a way very few players can. He’s a truly complete footballer and the lack of trophies has lead those who don’t actually watch him to severely underrate him. Hope he gets a big move and wins a bag of trophies this summer.

Kane is a fantastic player, been very consistent for all these years and keeps getting better, his goalscoring record says it all but, his playmaking and passing technique is top tier too

Haaland's a monster in the box, but I don't think there's any reason to suspect he'll ever have the kind of game Kane does outside the area. If Kane moves he should ask for the number 19 at his new club, because he's a 9 *and* a 10.

As an Arsenal fan, I may not have appreciated him enough but this video makes me think that he may be the best English striker of all time? Shearer will always be the best but Kane’s playmaking looks so sublime. Isn’t this what Benzema does? He’s really been consistent in his output especially with an average team like Spurs. What could he do if he played for a team with a killer cast like RM or ManC?

Harry Kane as a whole isn't spoken about enough. We're talking about a player who's one of the best strikers on the planet and yet people aren't talking about him enough. Erling Haaland's record breaking season has been the biggest talking point in the premier league this season, and could potentially be a frontrunner for this seasons' Ballon Dor, but for Harry Kane to have that many goals in a week Tottenham Hotspur team in the toughest league in the world, you have to be one special player. Harry Kane is underappreciated and that's because he has no trophies, the only trophy he's ever won was an unofficial one and that's the Audi Cup. He plays on crappy Tottenham a team that hasn't won a trophy in 15 years. Yet, he's 2nd in premier league scoring, has 100+ home and away goals, yet no one is giving him his flowers due to a lack of team trophies. I can understand that you play the game to win, we shouldn't be ignoring the fact that despite playing on such a weak top 6 team he has 3 golden boots in the prem and whether he's won something or not, using only team trophies to judge how good a player is I get that, but he's a natural goal-scorer, he's been doing it at this club for many years he's carried them season after season and his achievements will continue to go under the radar due to his lack of silverware. This summer, he better get a move because I've acknowledged his greatness, but very soon he has to win trophies you can't have over 300 goals for club and country, 200 league goals 2nd highest goal-scorer in premier league history, 3 golden boots, and be the top-scorer for Tottenham and England and yet have no team trophies to show for it. He has loads of goals, no one's gonna give Harry Kane the respect he deserves unless he wins a trophy and maybe if they won champions league in 2019, Carabao Cup and EUROs in 2021, we'd be having a different conversation about him. That's the world we live today in sports no matter how good a player is individually, people won't care about their individual achievements unless they win collective trophies and Harry Kane has been one of the most consistent players in the premier league over the last 7-8 years and he isn't getting enough recognition due to the amount of trophies he's won throughout his career which is none. I don't care if he scores 500 goals for his club, he can score goals and he'll get a pat on the back for scoring a goal, but where are your trophies. This summer, he better leave Tottenham because there are scoring records to be broken but team trophies are more important than records and I'm interested to see if he'll finally get a move because he needs to finally leave he should've left 18 months ago.

I am an Arsenal fan and would love to have this guy. He would win us the league imo. One of the most intelligent players I have ever seen. Scores better than 99% and can the pass as good as KDB. Unreal

The sad reality is people would still not care much if Haaland hadn’t gone wild. Kane drags an underwhelming spurs side behind him. As long as spurs aren’t fighting (which has been a while now) Kane will always be overshadowed by their poor performances. The funny thing is he should be even more celebrated for doing so much in such a week team.

Kane owns a perfect first touch, ball control and incridible final pass. He can play SS as well as CF.

Kane is a more complete player; he has shot/pass technique that's ahead of Haaland, better playmaking/vision and close quarters control. What he doesn't have is the same rate of explosive runs/power and the same out and out goal poaching instinct (though he is still top 10 in the world at this as well) . At this very moment Kane is the better player, but as an out and out 9, its a matter of taste, I'd say. That said, Haaland has the benefit of youth, so it will be interesting to see how he develops in the future.

Crazy how Spurs doesn't play with a 10# since Eriksen left, 3-4 years ago? (or even a creative midfielder for the second half of this season) and Kane keeps challenging for the golden boot every season regardless. Kane has had fewer chances per goal this season as well.

Kane is overhyped by the media because he’s English he can create all over the pitch but his job is to score in big occasions he can’t do it

Kane is 100 times better than Haaland. While Haaland waits for the 4 attacking players behind him to do all the hardwork for him to score, Kane drops deep regularly and dictates the game, provides assists and finishes the chances himself. Also, Kane is two footed, takes long shots and free kicks, which Haaland can only dream of.

His link up play with Son was telepathic at times.

Bayern with Kane up top is a frightening prospect. They won their league and got to the QF of the CL with Choupo-fuckin-Moting, so it would be hard to see them not winning everything next season with Kane. Goals and assists, he's a 60+ goals a season player for Bayern or Madrid, ALL DAY, and I bet he have a helluva of shout at Ballon D'or. Good luck to him, from an Arsenal fan.

The thing with Haaland is, he will go down as one of the greatest goal scorers ever (barring injury). But in many games when he doesn't score, he's sub-par as outside of elite attributes that leads to scoring goals (finishing, pace, strength and movement), he's below average. Kane is far more complete, which means he can have a great game even without scoring. As Kane doesn't have top level pace, it's limited him from being rated as one of the all time greats, but main issue has been lack of trophies at Spurs has meant he's rated as a level below the modern great strikers of his era (Suarez, Lewandowski, Benzema). He'll still go down as a top 3 striker in PL history, but he was good enough to be compared with Lewandowski and Benzema (peak Suarez was a level above imo) and would have been had he moved to say City earlier in his career and won trophies.

I think kane’s got a bigger achievement this season, as he managed to this with a mid spurs team while haaland plays in one of the best teams in the world right now. Not taking away from haalands achievements but its insane how overlooked kane is

People who Harry is old has not much football left in him should consider example of Lewa , Benz , Giroud , Ronaldo and many more. Most of these strikers hit their prime after 30. They may have lost some of their speed but the experience combined with awareness makes them even better in my opinion. Of course not every striker falls in the category of names mentioned above but Kane has that quality in him and I believe at a proper club he can deliver.

If Kane had a good team around him that could score and pass he would have had atleast 10 assists instead of 3. His passing is superb. and ofc more goals
