It's easy for a player of his calibre changing teams within the same league (obviously an experienced Serie A veteran), & having a great coach at the helm. Knew he was going to adapt simultaneously. Just hope it's going to be the same for the other new out-of-league transfers down the long stretch.. Sure the ex Prem boys will be just fine too tho.. Wjndaum, Matic, and Bailly if we get him..

@@benson7748 yes in a way. Players still have control on their destinations. If they don't want to go... then they technically don't have to. Clubs & player are mutually bounded to a contract. This summer transfer sage with Frenkie de Jong is a perfect example.... Barca been wanting to sell him all year to Man United - but de Jong wants to stay at Barca, and has resisted the move. Even tho both clubs have agreed to terms, club can't literally force a player to move. All they can do is make the player disgruntled like bench sitting them, exclude them from the main team and/or team activities, tell them they are not wanted and/or in the manager plans, & etc etc... AKA (Make the player unhappy as possible, and make his life a living hell... until he agrees to depart. Lol smh) You just don't see it happen often. A player not agreeing to leave and|or a club going for drastic measures to get them gone.

i agree with you, but also think the Friedkins should get a lot credit for this, after lowering ticket prices the second part of last season. So much better for the atmosphere to have a sold out Olympico every week. I'm really excited about this new season. No one can know how well Roma will do, of course, but, player-for-player, I don't think we've had a squad this strong and full of talent in twenty years. Perhaps under Spalletti's first spell. I would like at least one top class centre back though. Right now we have two or three very good/good, and a couple good/decent.
