As a dark chocolate skin queen, I have always known the power of melanin in my skin and never for one moment wish to change it. It brings joy to my heart to hear a black brother singing this song, as so many of my black brothers do not share this truth. I hope the message will spread to my dark skin sisters who hate themselves to the extent that they cannot emancipate themselves from mental slavery and feel that they have to put harmful chemicals on their skin in order to walk tall - SAD. Bless up brother.

I used to think I had glitter on me as kid and teenager then when I grew up . I realized it was melanin in skin glow like gold on my chocolate skin. My mom was born in Jamaica and dad also used to tell us 4 of us beautiful and my brother is beautiful too. I am glad she did because growing up in the UK isn't easy at all.
