The 2nd way you view it is outversal, Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson, the director, creator, and writer of the film were the actual ones responsible for the series. And in the 3rd way it’s inversely as Roman Made Billy psycho but wasn’t the one responsible for the massacre but still is responsible for Maureen’s death and then that made Billy responsible for the Woodsboro Massacre
