As you said, there are some letters in ol chiki in which we cannot distinguish some words, I think these problems need to be solved by introducing some punctuation. Every script is difficult for the beginners. But gradually they learn and it becomes easy for them, such as Bengali, Odiya, Hindi, Tamil, Gujrati, Punjabi etc.

Problem of script-Roman or Olchiki-for santali language can be looked at from another angle. Scripts are needed (I) for education (ii) for development of literature and literary and intellectual activities. It is correct that education of those who can learn only through their mother tongue, mother tongue is the best medium for them. They are a special group and are entitled to a special treatment. Declaration of Indigenous People's Rights of the UNO, to which India is a signatory,proclaims their right to education through mother tongue. If blind, deaf and dumb can have separate schools where blind are taught through touch lipi(Braille system) and deaf and dumb through gesture lipi (Leon's system), santals too can have and will have santali medium schools for those who can learn only through their mother tongue. Olchiki alphabet is good and simple enough for them. Others who can learn through any medium can go to Govt. or Public schools. There is no problem for them. Roman with 59 scripts can be used by them for development of santali language, literature and other literary and intellectual activities. In that case santali will have the rare distinction of double alphabets-Roman as well as Olchiki solving the present standoff.
