The general idea of Peace-mains is still in One Piece, just not something that’s ever mentioned. Like Luffy still does good things and brings down bad pirates, which was the core element of being a Peace-main.

The difference is that Luffy doesn't fight bad pirates cause he wants to be a heroic pirate(Peace-Main). He usually only fights them for situational reasons like, they hurt HIS friends, for rep, too get out of being a chore boy (Baratie).

@@jondoe7036 The feelings that you get from the Stawhats is that they are from the Revolutionary Army, but ever since that was already a thing they are placed in this gray area of being a heroic yet outlawed crew of pirates that could also be considered peace-main.

Ann was one of the two prototype Nami's back in the early days before the manga started proper. She's actually from Romance Dawn version 2. The other was a blonde girl named Silk from the first Romance Dawn. Aspects of both eventually gave way to the Nami we all know and love. Most notably Ann's design and personality and Silk's desire to protect her hometown and history as an orphan. Nami was actually the first Strawhat, after Luffy obviously, to be designed for the series.

I first thought it was because Nami means Wave, making blue hair an understandable choice. But her name is Anne here. But yeah Dragon Ball inspired a lot of better shows.

Honestly this was my favorite episode since 892 or in other words, the episode where Zoro was finally shown again in the anime. Before that it was 877 with Pudding's heartbreaking goodbye to Sanji. You should really check out the manga oneshots of Romance Dawn versions 1 and 2. The one that this episode was about is version 2. Also Ann is voiced by Nami while the guy she beat in the swordfight is voiced by Zoro. I find that very humorous.

Im up to date with one piece, but this is the first time Ive seen this episode. After watching this, this just supported my theories that world gov was once a pirates. One piece and the blank history is connected. Probably the reason roger called the island raftel because after learning the truth he find it funny that the navy who protect the sea from pirates were once run by pirates. Hence, laugh tale. And in this episode, there’s main piece which is considered good pirates. Kinda align with one piece as in “one” equals to main. I could be wrong, but just like to drop it

Hello SuperMechaFrieza, I like your reaction to this special episode for the 20th anniversary of One Piece! :D One thing to say, if you ever have time to react to other One Piece stuff like the OVAs, Shorts, Special Episodes, etc, would you like to react to "Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack!"? It's the first OVA of One Piece, the first animation ever of One Piece and it's a fight mentioned in one of the firsts mangas of One Piece, but it didn't was show in the Manga.

Her name is Vivi but Ann was actually an early Nami. I guess Oda decided to repurpose some things about her into Vivi. I always felt that Vivi was a rehash of Nami in a way and now it makes sense why.

I really love One Piece, but what I kind of wish Oda had kept was the whole pirate faction. Keep the Peace Mains and the Morganeer aspect. I see so many people hate on One Piece because to them it's not a true pirate series. They're expecting Pirates of the Caribbean and that's not at all what they get. If Oda had kept the factions, it could have been explained why Luffy and Shanks were the types of pirates that they were.

Oda wanted to scrap that idea because he wanted one piece to be morally ambiguous. I think the route oda ended taking was a better choice. After all even though Luffy isn’t a bad person he has done things in the series that make you question his “morality”.
