"Let go." - Saddest objective I've ever had.

Has anyone noticed that Cole was the epicenter of both blasts. The one that started the conduits and the one that ended it.

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain

Can't anyone just accept Cole's sacrifice? His death was the most memorable good ending. I just wish others would see the ending lightning bolt as a homage to a great person.

Remember when people theorized about that lightning bolt at the end bringing Cole back to life? Good times.

I love that he didn't say some stereotypically macho response to Kuo, he didn't kiss her, he didn't even say a "Everything's going to be okay" platitude. All he said when she said she was scared was "I am too."

"I love you brother I'm sure gonna miss you" didn't delsin say the exact same thing at the end of infamous second son?!

This was truly a sad moment. But it also made me proud to play as Good Cole. Still haven't gotten used to Cole's death. Maybe that's why I still haven't given Second Son a chance. I watched a playthrough of it and the story is cool and all... but it doesn't seem like Infamous without Cole. Update: I have tried our Second Son years ago and it was a good game and Delsin was a good MC. Kind of surprised Delsin’s story didn’t continue in a sequel by now.

Nix is direct and to the point. She doesn't care about collateral damage, or what society call "right", but when she has an enemy, her goal is to bring it down, regardless of cost. Kuo seems self preserving. Yes, she'd like to help others, but she also wants to live. I like these characters because they can't be so easily divided into "good" and "evil" They're just different.

Zeke's voice actor was SO good in his final monologue. You can hear him start to tear up in his voice. It always hits me hard.

Both endings are too difficult to bare

*POSSIBLE SECOND SON SPOILERS* I like how delsin said "I love you brother, and I'm sure gonna miss you" at the good ending.

I like how cole keeps referring and changing his mind on which choice he should choose in the beginning it shows how uncertain and scared cole is about his final decision and also how human he is.

L1 + L2 + R1 + R2... I didn't want to let it go. I didn't want this masterpiece to end.

Looking back at this ending again... I love it even more than before. Even as Cole does as Kessler asked him to do and kills the Beast... he did it by rejecting the person Kessler tried to make him into. Kessler killed Trish and pulled his friendship with Zeke apart so that Cole would have nothing to live for... no reason to hold back against the Beast. Instead, Cole becomes the hero BECAUSE he forgave Zeke, BECAUSE he remembered how proud Trish was of him for being a hero, BECAUSE he wanted to be more than a broken body and demented mind like Sasha and Kessler, BECAUSE of his humanity... the very humanity Kessler tried to take from Cole... Cole was able to become the hero and make the ultimate sacrifice. Cole may have fulfilled Kessler's goal.... but he did it by becoming everything Kessler was not.

And so it was that Cole finally did what Kessler had wanted him to do, to be stronger than he was and make decisions like this. Everything Kessler had put through Cole led to this very moment of becoming a true hero, one that Kessler failed to be. You did it Cole, you fulfilled Kessler request and vengeance on the Beast.....

Nix: ARE YOU GONNA BE A MAN OF YOUR WORD. Am I the only one that can really appreciate this line?

anyone notice that the line at the end that zeke says "I love you brother, and im sure gonna miss you" is the same line Delsin said and the end of Infamous Second son's good ending?

I like the twist at the end in which kuo is now the bad karma choice and nix is the good karma choice. I didn't expect that when I first played, even Cole was surprised lol.

I liked how Infamous 2's plot related somewhat to the duality in people--not just in Cole, but to his partners Kuo and Nix, also relating to their powers. Nix is passionate and red-hot when it comes to her rage, but is warm-hearted when she opens up to Cole about her family and when she takes care of the Corrupted she calls her "babies." Kuo, on the other side, had an icy-cold exterior when she was an NSA agent. After awakening her powers, the ice conduit demostrated her fragility, or "brittleness," when she not only was scared of being a freak, but became so afraid of her own death that she stood against Cole. Ultimately, the one you think is the "good" girl goes "evil" and vice versa, throwing you off balance for the ending. (Still sucks that Nix dies no matter what, though.)

Okay, the world is safe again after what Delsin did, so you can come out again Cole. It's safe. Lol

This still chokes me up. They don't make games like this anymore. Just a complete package 1 and 2. Fantastic story powerful energetic gameplay.Cole was a beast. Insta classic and worth playing always.

There are just so many thoughts about this ending. The one that I want to say today is how the game instructs you to hold down L1 L2 R1 R2, then it tells you ... tells you to _let go_. It was just so heartwrenching. I am basically killing off Cole and the Conduits after all that fun I had with the two true entries of Infamous. SuckerPunch not only made two great action games but also know how to develop a story that lures us into a feels train.

Ya know, it's sort of poetic how the man with the electricity powers is the one to decide the fate of humanity. Fire is a symptom of releasing heat, but electricity? Electricity is power itself, flowing through wire like water through a pipe. Electricity is what binds atoms together, what let's our brains do work, what comes down from the heavens. Electricity is the most powerful element a conduit can possess, and it's only fitting that an electric conduit be at the epicenter of the fate of humanity.

Wish they would remake inFamous 1 and 2 for PS4

As badass as the evil ending is, I like this one better! inFamous has both endings to die for. Just wow!! Evil being badass, Good being emotional and satisfying sending chills down my spine.

Cole was the first game protagonists death that really stung. Then it was John Marston, then Arthur Morgan. Truly amazing characters

I'm not saying I cried like a little girl at the ending but uh... I cried like a bitch. Man the writers are really good in both games. Playing through both games is like an emotional rollarcoaster. R.I.P Good Cole. Hope you're happy with Trish.

It feels like games these days are made to maximize profits or FPS or some other unecessary and stupid milestone. Games during Infamous' era made me feel so alive, it felt like i was living as another person and was always excited or looking forward to the next quest or the next storyline, every game had so much content and passion put into it. It wasnt about getting the most sales, it was about conveying a story and wanting to share it with the rest of the world. The final word on Omegle describes the modern world best, i feels like today is more "passive consumption rather than active participation" i dont feel engaged or alive anymore when i play videogames, theyre just not the same as they once were. People before made such beautiful pieces of art, but today, its all profit margins and formula's for dopamine. The life has been sucked out of it (wether its 10 sequels like in Fast and furious, or its clickbaity titles and thumbnails like with Mr. Beast and Pewdiepie). I could just be some angsty teen, but it just seems so much harder to find an experience that you just want to dive into, there are many less "yoooo thats so cool" moments compared to before. It used to be exciting to play videogames, now it just feels like its something to do when you have nothing better to do.

This ending is relatable to today's time. Infamous 1 and 2 endings never disappoint.

They (Edit: 'the', no they...*) way they made the moral choices flip at the end was always amazing to me. Not because it was executed flawlessly, but just because I had never seen the good alignment become the bad(Edit: Almost wrote Black, meant 'bad' xD) alignment, and the other way around. It's neat

I like how this game makes you do something that affects the final outcomes like charging the RFI to kill the conduit or Killing Zeke like its not just a cut scene you "have" to do it yourself (the player) so you feel the affects of your choices

Dude, I completed this game 40+ times and every time I did the good ending I cried. This game will put you in the feels and I love it. Then when I played Second Son and Reggie died I was like, "NOPE I CAN'T DO THIS WHYYYY SUCKER PUNCH WHYYYY". I love Infamous 1, 2, and Second Son they will always have a special place in my heart.

Speculation Time: What about a clone of Cole as final boss for the second son. Should be so epic! But it is almost impossible.

When people said that since lightning struck cole that means he’s alive well he’s not the lightning was used as symbolism it showed that now coles story has ended. and idk if this makes sense to people but i feel like it also shows that now he’s watching from up in the skies and he struck his own coffin to symbolize that

The fact that Delsin is alive when this ending is likely the one used for the story in second son, some conduits survived it, so he is likely strong enough to return in some way. Maybe even not in second son, but maybe in a small way

It always bugs me that people hate on Kuo for reacting like she did. I thought it perfectly understandable, especially with all she's been through in this game. It makes her feel more human than someone like Nix whose solution to everything seems to be wanton murder. And really, there's not a strictly correct answer. If it works, the conduits die, and everyone else is saved, yay. But if it doesn't, the conduits still die, and then everyone else dies slowly anyway. On the other hand you have a method that you know for a fact works. It's not really a matter of good or evil in this scenario.

This ending is the most satisfying and saddening heroic thing I have ever done in a video game. I will always remember the first and second inFamous, they started my journey in hardcore rpg single player gaming.

Its just sad that they had to end the Infamous series so soon. Its not the same without Cole McGrath. 😞 That is why I didn’t play Second Son. For me, Infamous was already dead at that point...

In my 30+ years of gaming, Infamous 2 is one of the very few 10/10 games I've played. The whole journey to either ending is just that good.

Even after all this time this still makes me sad, I never forgot this game, it still goes down as one of my all time favorites, even got the platinum on it, I still hold out the hope that the lightning bolt revived him, and we’re gonna get a new infamous game with him back in the drivers seat. Delsin and his powers were cool, especially the ability to copy other peoples powers, but definitely needs to meet cole, and cole definitely means to show why he’s on top. Plus I think kesslers story hasn’t been explored enough, and cole hasn’t unlocked all the abilities Kessler had

Let's think people Coles coffin getting hit by lightning alone means that there was life in him. Otherwise it couldn't connect to him anymore becuz there wouldn't be any life energy or electricity in him anymore. Idc wat sucker punch confirmed about his death this ending says clearly he is alive.

So we just gonna ignore the fact that Zeke was kinda selfish? He didn't even seem all that concerned that Cole would die by using it til after the fact. Idk maybe it's just me.

It´s like the 10:th time I see this ending, now I can finally get though it without crying. The first time though, when I played the game for myself, I cried for a good half hour. Best game series on the PS3, no questions asked!

I mean he lost Trish, his future and the two kids he never got to have… why would he be evil. Life doesn’t matter because his destiny was to defeat the Beast man has lost everything Everything except Zeke. And knowing Zeke would die, he’d be alone. He’d be sad because Zeke is the last one of what he considers family. “I don’t call you brother, just because I’d like the way it sounds.” - Zeke. This is the True ending

I still wish the bad ending was canon. We could’ve gotten Infamous 3 instead of Second Son.

I'm so happy that Cole was recognized, and he didn't go an unsung hero. That had to have really meant a lot to Zeke, I'm glad he got that.

I remember playing this when I was younger, Got this for my 10th birthday in 2012. College freshman now, Crazy to think this game would hit me years later. Glad I grew up playing this. Along with others, I came back to this for nostalgia.

I like how the "good" character actually becomes evil if you choose the Good ending and vice versa.

every time I see this I cry. Cole was one of my favorite video game characters and infamous was the first game I ever beat.

I thought it was awesome how at the end those militia guys were saying "go get em electric man" it made me feel like only in the darkest time people truly unite not matter what the difference is. It's sad but true, or maybe it's just Coles awesomeness that made them change.

That is one hell-of-an ending. Quite touching. Hoping for infamous 3 - with two different stories, in good story Zeke will somehow heal Cole and in bad... Dont know 'bout that... Anddd it would be really nice to control Zeke. He's really cool guy

I think that this ending went more well done than the evil ending. Don't get me wrong, the evil ending was pretty awesome, too. I think it was right for Cole to die because he doesn't even exist in Second Son. If you chose the evil ending, you would be hoping for an Infamous 3. But for Second Son to happen with a new character and all, something has to happen to Cole. I'm psyched to see the new game come out, and to see what it has to offer. I think it's going to be pretty epic!
