I thank you for your efforts. I don't know how I would choose who to save and who to leave behind. It is sad that that choice ever has to be made. It must tear your heart out to walk away and leave any dog behind in those conditions. I know it would mine. I have cried a river of tears for these poor lost babies.

We recently adopted a stray from Romania. She's almost 6 years old and very shy, but such a sweet girl. She has an old deep scar between her eyes and her left ear is punctured... We wondered what happened to her on the streets :'( I'm glad at least some dogs get rescued from Romania. But there are just so many and the conditions are often horrible, it makes me cry just thinking about it.

God this is heartbreaking watching you leave with some and having the others look on.

Unfortunately Romania is a horrible state in this area. Animal protection is simply not known in reality - and what is worse not even in the Romanians' mind. I sometimes visit friends there, and I come back with sadness most of the time. I have seen how the Gypsies keep the horses. Those Romanians put a horse on one end of the wagon and another horse on the other end of the wagon. Than they began to beat them to see which will pull the chariot. While the Romanians were watching "the action" they were drinking bear and they were laughing. I also can see a lot of unowned pets walking on the Romanian streets. Some of them were so thin that I could not look at them. I also saw many dogs and cats very sick and I think they died shortly after my trip. I asked the people why are there so many unowned pets in Romania? They told me that their masters simply throw them out. As I realized this is not prohibited in Romania, or at least nobody is afraid of punishment. Although I have never traveled outside Transylvania, my friends told me that the worst situation is in the Romanian capital, where many thousands of dogs roam in the city. Probably, but I have never been in the Romanian capital, so I'm not a witness of the situation there. But I saw a lot of dead animals on the Romanian roads, indeed. I also realized how shy the wild animals are in Romania. For comparison: beside Hungary I have traveled in many countries of Europe (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italia, Switzerland, Austria, Germany etc.) but I have never seen wild animals so afraid of humans like in Romania. In general the mammal wildlife is much smaller than elsewhere in Europe, also the fish stocks rarer. However my hosts told me that the situation is better in the rivers near the border with Hungary, because fish come to the Romanian rivers from Hungary. It's also a problem that because Romanians are so poor, they try fish out from the rivers everything possible - to eat them. Probably the wild animals are also in distress because the Romanians try to catch every rabbit, pheasant or deer they see.

Hun Király I understand that you think that about Romania because of what you have seen. But the truth is,it’s not everywhere like that. My cousin is from Schäßburg/Sighisoara and that place is infect with gypsies. I have seen a horse running on the streets, trying to get away from the gypsies. But,for example, try visiting Brasov. Here,if you see cats on the street, most probably they belong to someone. We let them go out,and they come back whenever they want. Most of them have collars too. In villages animals are poorly treaten by the gypsies that live there. But to be honest with you man...we are not *poor*. There are rich people and somewhere between rich and poor people. If you ask me,better be poor and smart then rich and dumb like americans. In Romania, every rich person worked they’re ass off for that money. In America, your grand grand parents left you all that money and have no idea what to do with it. And don’t tell me in America everything is perfect because it’s not. You have more homeless people than we do. You have homeless animals too. You have Trump as a president. And,because of him, most probably,in case of war,America won’t protect Romania, because of your racist president.

Now, in 2018 we, romainians, don t have a problem anymore with homeless dogs in Buchares. It's true, a lot of them are in public shelters(looks like shit). There are also particular shelters where people take the poor dogs from the public shelters, take care of them, give them a chance at life.

on this video only puppies are saved or small dogs :( Please think about medium or big dogs, they need to have a good family too :) And I know why I tell this because I have adopted 5 dogs, aged till 3 years ans 14 years, 3 have gone for the dogs paradise, Kill my babies, but I have a dog who will have 11 years old, abandonned 3 years ago by a person who try to get me lessons to get his abandonned better :( and my nex dogs, 6 years old, adopted from Romania, she is very nice, just a problem that she doesn't accept collar and leash, I hope that soon, she will understand that it"s not dangerous for her, just a way to go outside of my garden
