In its very simplicity , the film shows so clearly the banality of evil. We know little about Tsar Nicholas and his family's final days, but we know even less about these Holy Martyrs .Thank you for posting this with the English subtitles

Agree with you, this film is so naturalistic and seemed like authentic old video that I decided to mention that it is only reconstruction, because when I saw them at first time I hardly could imagine that someone manage to make so plausible movie.

Of all the films, I think I find Искупительная жертва to be the most moving, with its chilling reconstructions, even though I cannot understand the words. Thank you for reminding us that there were many more Holy Martyrs (now officially recognised or not); that the killing went on and on for decades in an orgy of sheer evil madness. So many poor souls. So many good people lost.
