You have always helped me understand the scriptures more clearly than I had before. I’m still perplexed by these in Romans though. I know none of us are without sin, but a true Christian, someone filled with the Holy Spirit, someone who is truly in love with Jesus, with the Father, with the Holy Spirit, how could that person continue in habitual sin? God truly transforms us. Breaks the chains. I not only have no desire to do the things I used to do, I’m repulsed by them. I’m not saying I’m sinless. I have to repent all the time. My mouth does get away with me at times, and it sickens me. The thought of hurting God, disappointing God, breaks my heart. But that’s not the habitual sin I’m talking about. A sinful lifestyle. How could a true Christian continue in that? Are their chains not broken? It’s not for me to say who’s saved and who’s not, but I see people who proclaim to be Christians who excuse their sin and say God knows my heart. People who have professed Jesus as their Lord and Savior but still continue in their ways. I remember as a kid when church busses would come around and people would walk the streets talking to kids passing out the little New Testaments. They’d have kids repeat a prayer after them then tell them no matter what, they’re going to heaven. I was one of those kids, only that happened with me in church. Many of the adults I mentioned were one of those kids. I think that’s probably a dangerous thing to do. Because I can tell you as a teen and adult, I lived a life that no doubt would have landed me in hell had I died then. This once saved always saved has people believing they can live whatever life they want and they’re covered, but what if they were never truly saved? Repeating a prayer and no transformation happens afterwards is a dangerous thing for people to believe they’re in a safety net. I hope what I said makes sense. It’s really hard to type out what I’m trying to say without being in a real conversation.

the piece on habits is so grounding and practical for righteousness sake, we make the choice in our spirit to follow goodness because granted our will to be aligned to christ by grace, yet the flesh lags behind. We just Coach our physical human presence to do Goodness so that it might become us. 🙏🏻❤️✨

Wow this really gave me something to think about, and pray about. I was thinking you know Jesus isn't putting the whip to anyone's back, He is so gentle. He is such a good, loving Master. He wants us to do good and not evil, that's all He's telling us to do. He's not even asking us to find the strength within ourselves but saying He will do it in us, help us. He's our Master but He's a good Shepherd who wants us to do good with our lives, to grow in holiness, that's a good thing. I think I will write a list of my responsibilities, and things to repent of to pray about. Thank you, I'd not have put it all together on my own like this, so I'm very grateful for the sermon 🙏 God bless you

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”Colossians 2

A person must first realize or knowthat he has sin before he can be delivered from sin, then he must confess that he has sin, then the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses him from all unrighteousness. The main thing is not so much the sin to dwell on that, but on what the blood has accomplished and walking in the power of that, in the light as He is in the light having fellowship with one another.

Isaiah 50:7 prophesize the resolute nature of Jesus to face the cross and obtain the glory set before Him… FOR THE LORD GOD HELPS ME, THEREFORE, I AM NOT DISGRACED; THEREFORE, I HAVE SET MY FACE LIKE FLINT, AND I KNOW THAT I SHALL NOT BE ASHAMED
