Thank you David. I like the word meaning of "pattern" of Paul. He is a pattern. If there is no possibility for us to be like him, his word is in vain, and this verse should not be in the Bible. But he told us clearly that God has set him up as a pattern to all those who believe in the Lord Jesus. Today we are the believers in Christ, and we all can be like Paul. (1 Tim. 1:16.).

It is great to learn the Gospel of God, the word concerning Jesus which in time past we were totally cut of from , thank God Jesus came, the gospel of God, and thank God for BUT NOW, that we,, WE have been made close by his blood,, and well .. the rest of the facts we have been freely given because of what God is doing right now...

As many times as I have read or heard: [Eph 1:16 KJV] 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; I never paid any attention to “making mention” as to the length of the prayer. I heard it loud and clear when you were teaching this. It was as if a lightbulb went off. It is a short prayer. ‘a brief remark’ according to Webster 1828.

I am so glad that you are going to go through Romans verse by verse. I have been wanting to follow you through all the Pauline Epistles verse by verse. I hate to admit it but I get so much more from hearing you teach it than I do reading it on my own. But I'm working on that. Thank you again for all you do brother!

I did some looking around at dates and Emperor Claudius seems to have been ruling only until AD 54, and Paul's letters were written after that, so it seems to me there would have been plenty of time for many Jews to move back to Rome. I would think they would still be careful and maybe only meet in "house church" but seems there would be more than a few there.

Blessings David to you your family! I know you have moved on in Romans, but I am having a discussion with someone who believes there were no members of the BOC in Rome in Chp 1. He uses Acts 2:10 and Romans 1:16 as his defense. I’ve used the various mentions of Pricilla and Aquila, plus Phoebe and really Roman’s 16, to support my belief that there was a BOC church in Romans proclaiming Paul’s message since he had not been to Rome yet. Could you expound on this ?

Not quit sure how they say those 2 verses means there were no boc members in rome??

I believe the believers Paul was praying so earnestly for in Rome were the Jewish believers being persecuted by Nero who had not left yet. That is what the whole world was hearing about them. They were kingdom saints. Why else would he be longing to lay hands and impart sign gifts?

Peter did not preach " The Gospel of God" he gave a warning 1Pet 4:17 by asking how will you pass judgment if you do not obey it. You assume he is preaching it. No he was referring to it
