Absolutely the Eternal City is the most beautiful city in the whole world. Layers and layers of beautiful buildings with so much of humanities' history. Yeah Paris is a close second but it it's history is more recent and it has been redone very recently. Rome has a great climate too, situated perfectly in between rolling hills and with it's Tiber river, so close to the sea and so much more to do in it and around it. Every building, every road, every bridge etc. a work of art. If you want to see the city is best to visit in February or March otherwise it will be too crowded, too hot and uncomfortable.
