It's a really good little red dot. I've had it on my Canik TP9 Sub-Compact for about two months now. For CQB/self defence, having the circle/dot reticle is very easy to acquire.

The tap function doesn’t stay active. You had to activate it each time you want to change the brightness

I just got this for my M17. Question - is it supposed to co-witness with the stock iron sights when the metal shroud is installed? I have the shroud currently installed, and the extra thickness raises the built in rear sight notch too high to be utilized.

From all I can tell in everything I've read, even your brand new Romeo Zero Elite Red Dot is a poorly designed, poorly functioning piece of garbage. Apparently it's got one button that's hard to get to, requires you to fingerprint your lens (which requires you to clean it and therefore likely scratch it) You had the entire unit to work with why would you put the button there? And when you have adjustments for up and down you should have a button one for up one for down.) Your casing is so weak and poorly reinforced you've had to add an external steel protective cover? Your TAP feature doesn't apparently work for virtually anyone and your biggest screw up was that it eats batteries and the entire unit has to be removed from the gun to replace the batteries meaning every few weeks or however long they last you'll be removing the site replacing the battery and then won't be able to trust the Red Dot until you get back to the range and make sure it's zeroed. I can't comprehend how your product designers could decide to put a battery on the bottom of the unit requiring the entire unit be unmounted. It should have been just as easy to put the battery ON TOP and replaceable without having to unmount. You guys need to stick to building guns and leave micro red dots to the guys that have been building them for a while. It's pretty embarrassing when your product loses out to red dots originally manufactured for airsoft guns in every feature and catagory (Take a look at the Cyelee Calf. It is a better designed. Better working red dot than yours and costs $69! Proper buttons, materials and a battery compartment on the SIDE, not to mention dials that click, and automatic off and movement turns it back on. How many generations until you have that? Just shut down the entire Micro division you're never going to catch up you're never going to compete. Write it off. It's so bad people are going to stop buying Sig Sauer specifically because they don't want your mount or be stuck with you line of micro red dots. You supposedly have over 300 product design engineers, and that's the product you come up with? I'd say a few dozen people need fired. What an incredible failure on your part. From all I've read I wouldn't give you $50 for your micro Romeo Zero Elite, because I wouldn't want it on my gun. Period.
