I still remember the day when the pope visit us especially here in tacloban.. I was moved by his eagerness to visit and show his compassion and love to all the victims of typhoon yolanda.. And during the visit I was one of those who travelled 6hrs from our province just to se his holiness.. Viva Santo Padre Francisco!!

Romeo Gulmatico Jr Yeah, never mind the fact that the Filipino government actually forced the street kids into detention centers (some even died due to harsh neglect and abuse) because they were an embarrassment. You would not want your supreme religious leaders to actually see these poor souls, would you. This is such a typical example of the hypocrisy of Catholics. Nope, those things are inconvenient. Let's all stand up and sing a song instead.

The fact that, while this woman was singing this lovely song to the pope, the street children she's singing had actually been forced into detention centers (some actually died due to this harsh treatment) because they were considered an embarrassment. Typical Christian behavior. Let's sing, have fun and pretend that we are doing something good while we are in fact ignoring the real problems. How many of the street children do you think go to hear this song? How many of the street children do you think were actually helped by this song? But, that's not the point is it. She wasn't singing for the street children. She was singing so that Catholics around the world can feel better about themselves while actually not doing a single thing.

Mark Marek Erh? Are you really this ignorant? While she was singing this song the street children were all forced into detention centers, because they were an embarrassment. It wasn't even a secret. It was all over the news. Still, do you think the pope or his henchmen cares? Of course not. It's much more convenient to gather in nice arenas and sing songs, than actually face the awful truth. Neither this woman nor the pope care about the street children.

I'm sure the lyrics are beautiful.....but to be brutally honest, I cannot get into the contemporary "Filipino Christian music".......it just doesn't do anything for me. However, I am happy to see how encouraged the many poor people in the Philippines seem to be at the visit of Papa Francisco.
