I tend to lean towards the Democrat party, but truly appreciate a voice like hers - she has a way to deliver her opinion and views without the attack and contentiousness we're used to. Watch Democracy Now!‘s coverage of the climate crisis since he took office, he is still allowing fossil fuel projects to expand with no plans to go on renewables or to cap emissions. Angie look at the most recent UN climate report, and if that’s not enough the UN secretary general I said that we’re not doing enough. In fact I believe he said we have our foot to the gas pedal as if nothing was happening. I’m paraphrasing heavily there but you can look it up.

I think what such a moment reveals is not just how close and comfortable they are to one another to ask such a question on national TV, but also what an incredible good sport Alyssa is to react as she did. She's been open in the past (several times) about starting a family before, along with discussing other personal experiences, and it's that openness that permits someone such as Whoopi a feeling of ease to ask such a question. Alyssa didn't take it wrong and seemed to have enjoyed the moment, and neither did the panel or audience, so why should ANYONE in this comment section be so critical? ... Go, Whoopi. Go, Alyssa, the best, most intelligent, most knowledgeable, conservative representative they have likely ever had.

What whoopi says about the younger generation needs to get involved then… it’s kind of hard when you have a machine of older people with tons of donors giving them huge amounts of money, effectively buying their seats and issues of voter suppression almost other reasons why it’s hard for younger generations to get a foot in the door into politics, Sara is right we speak of diversity and representation yet younger people should get that right too 😊

@@Little-Dude I agree, I remember when the topic was Katie porter wanting to run for Diane Feinsteins seat and I remember sunny specifically saying that Katie didn’t get a blessing to run and Diane is a “icon” basically, I can’t remember exact wording, but that kind of view is ridiculous, no one is heir apparent to a role and the idea because you’re older and had the role for so long requires some sort of special treatment is ridiculous, and this feeds into the idea that younger people have very little chance to get involved, there’s differences between respecting wisdom and older generations and giving others chances and options 😊

Yes he’s decent but Trump is making everyone look good now. George Bush seems to be a decent man but he (hopefully unintentionally) destroyed so so many people’s lives with the 2 wars, “war on terror,” Katrina, “mission accomplished,” and most of all he had Cheney and Rumsfeld at the helm and they led a hate/smear campaign, calling anyone who questioned them or the wars “unpatriotic.” And they profited MASSIVELY off defense contractors. Please don’t forget they, Newt Gingrich and Fox started it all. Trump is just a symptom and outcome of a hate strategy started in the 1990s. They knew (and said) if they keep people angry and scared you can control them. People have short memories :( They might be decent people but their policies can be very very harmful to the non-wealthy and minorities.

As someone who has struggled with infertility for years, it is very offensive to ask women if they are pregnant...and on national TV...wow. I am lucky to be pregnant at the moment thanks to IVF and I can tell you, I am most certainly NOT glowing. I'm a pro makeup artist as well...that glow is likely a tan and a talented artist. All the best to Alyssa if she and her husband are hoping for a baby soon.

Alyssa speaks truth and I have always admired her for putting morals and beliefs ahead of loyalty toward politicians. Can't say the same for most of the rest on that panel. Joy even admitted that they were so hooked to Obama at the time that they were so against Romney back then. Now I guess because Romney said some things that they liked they are praising him. It always makes me raise an eyebrow when Democrats who used to be so hateful and negative on a Republican years later act like they don't dislike them at all. Seen it with The View, CNN and other places. Also, credit to Romney for being truthful about something that many Republicans and Democrats don't want to say and do. This country does have an issue with the old guard not wanting to stand down for the younger generation. Also Joy, it's not like the Democrats have completely sane politicians. AOC is nuts, for example. Speaking of "selected, not elected". Kamala Harris was selected, not elected for VP and she may be our next President even though she never in a million years would come close to winning a Presidential election.
