Ok My #LedHeadz are going to love this. Its between Led zep, and two other artist that are up for what band or hiphop group is going to be the first video ever to reach 100k on this channel . this is your chance to show rock can beat hip hop and modern day music even on a hiphop channel. so far you have a good lead look on my community page to see how far ahead you are . if you want to win watch the entire video all the way through so the view counts grab all the phones and tune in and show the new gen what real music is

Nice job. You pick up on stuff that Zep fans wouldnt notice - Robert Plant picking up a tambourine to support the action during solo for example. You probably already figured this out, but they are a British band. Probably the most influential band in hard rock - most of their other famous songs have superheavy iconic riffs that have been sampled endlessly. Kashmir and Whole Lotta Love are probably the most famous of their heavy tracks. I think you are more likely to recognise them.

Loved that reaction. I still have my poster from Robert Plant...the singer from that performance from back in the day!. Freebird? Ill have to look and see if you have done that from Lynyrd Skynryd. It's always the debatable ? of which is best...that or Stairway. Of course Ive loved them both since the 70s. Now Im loving Tom McDonalds genius songs.

These guys are legends. Another great song by them is 'Whole lotta love'. Their drummer is John Bonham & sadly he passed away. In 2012 Led Zeppelin was honored at the Kennedy Center & the girl rock group 'Heart' sang this in tribute & it is frigging amazing. You see the guys watching on with smile & a few tears as the girls kick ass & John's son Jason is the drummer for the performance & he wears his dads Bowler hat as a nod to dad. Watching both performances is so fun. You should check it out. Heart is sisters Ann the lead singer who is 62 years old at the Kennedy center performance & she is still frigging amazing. Her sister is Nancy 958) & an awesome guitarist/singer too. 'Barracuda' would be a fun one to hear them do as young rockers.

Loved the reaction. Led Zeppelin were my favourite band in my teens and I was fortunate enough to see them live in 1975. Best concert I've ever seen. They were a band where you just couldn't decide who was the most talented. Sadly John Bonham died far too young, and later he was replaced by his own son, who is an awesome drummer in his own right. I think "Ramble on" would be worth a reaction, or "Living loving maid" but frankly they made so many great songs.

It's hard to convey how radical bands like Led Zeppelin were at the time. Before this era, radio -- which was how we heard new music -- never played any songs that were longer than like three and a half minutes long. Then along came Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, et al who were writing these long masterpieces.

So glad you liked it! They are a British Band. I was lucky enough to see their last British concert/ festival in Knebworth here in England in 1979 as the original wonderful four. Robert (Percy) Plant who, as you were asking, has an accent from around Britains Midlands, Wolverhampton, a bit posher, but similar to Ozzy, on vocals, Jimmy Page, guitar, John Paul Jones piano/organ and bass, and John Henry (Bonzo) Bonham, on drums, who sadly passed away shortly afterwards. His son, Jason has, on occasion, taken his Dad's place on drums, and the bowler hat Bonzo often wore. The group agreed it wouldn't be Zeppelin without him, a good friend of Roberts from way back. Though regrouping with Jason for a few 'comebacks'. The remaining members of the group went their separate ways and tried various other bands etc and have had a few comebacks, but lost a quarter of what made Zeppelin...so great...Bonzo! ... Heart, did a wonderful rendition of Stairway when Zeppelin were awarded for their Contribution to Rock music at the Kennedy Center's Honours 2012, with Jason, who, I believe is Robert's Godson, in his Dads Bowler hat, on drums. By the end, Robert, Jimmy and John Paul a had tears in their eyes, as did most people watching. Heart, being two sisters and their band, did very well, with a surprise ending that took even Barak Obama by surprise. Please give it a whirl. You can also get a DVD of The Song Remains the Same, that, I think, was the video you were watching Stairway from. Also the Knebworth Concert that I went to. Very lucky, as they only put on my show, as the first was a sellout on the release date...not easy in those days. I got my tickets for the following week from a kiosk in a sideroad just off Londons Oxford Street! Happy Days!!! Hope I've helped a little.

John Bonham (drummer) aka Bonzo one the greatest drummers in rock. John Paul Johns (keys, bass, mandolin) aka JPJ the glue of the band. Robert Plant (singer, harmonica, songwriter) aka the golden god. Jimmy Page (guitar, songwriter, producer, and founder of the band) aka guitar god. Checkout When The Levee Breaks great drums.

I could talk for a whole day about that song alone. Watching you enjoy it like that, & the things that hit you, about it... was priceless 👍🧡 That drummer was the reason I play drums, and everybody tuned their heaviness levels after hearing him dance with the heavy footed, uncluttered snare drum style. He died in 1980 after partying too hard, & it ended the bands time. He was 30 yrs old when he died, and had a gold record on his wall for this song when he was 18yrs old. Led Zeppelin Owned the 70's. They were from Britain, & That Guitarist left nothing for anyone else to do at the time. They influenced everybody. The chemistry between their playing styles was legendary. John Bonham(drums) Robert Plant (vocal acrobatics) are the babies of the band, the other 2 were older studio players, who produced other bands like Bad Company, & The Hurdy Gurdy Man Album, & they played on other peoples songs often when others couldnt cut it, at producers asking. Their guitar player had a personal relationship with the guitar inventor Les Paul, & was given first crack at new releases of next years models. This performance was from 5 nights sold out at Madison Sq Gdns 73", an attendance record back then. This song was a number 1 hit for 10-15 years on Rock stations. The studio version is on Zeppelin 4. If you like those keyboards? Lookup "All of My Love". Its a short sweet song with an amazing keyboard solo. You Have a Good Ear. Also, Listen for the french horns on the studio version of THIS song... my friend, that sound producer was a lagend as well. Their sound system was Huge! He could record the drum sound like nobody ever in history, The only drum recording that comes close is who you mentioned, METALLICA. Metallica replaced this band as the badge holder of the heaviest band for a decade. I know you will check this band out more, I am gonna subscribe and check more of your vids out. I hope you like what I wrote, it is only a blip of how awesome Led Zeppelin was. 😎👍

I love how you keep saying how smooth he was. Yes he is. Because he is natural talent. No auto-tune, no crap to enhance his voice. He was and will always be a rock God. Says the lady who’s nephews middle name is Zepplin. 😂 Not a coincidence. 😉

63 year old white guy here. Excellent to see you enjoy breaking down music that is new and different to you. Music I grew up on in what I consider the best decade ever, the 1970's. You made this a fun watch!

I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert just after LZ IV came out with this song on it, when it was fresh and novel and hadn't yet become the most requested song on rock radio stations... they played for nearly four hours with one break in the middle. I miss those days.

British rock at it’s best. Robert Plant’s voice! Jimmy Paige guitar! Lyrics. Deep. Lyrics. Lyrics. Lyrics. They got honored by the Kennedy Center. Heart sand this for them. Take a listen to Ms Wilson from Heart singing this. John Bonham’s son Jason playing the drums and Robert Plant tearing up. Epic.

Heart honoring them brought tears to my eyes! My 36 yr old son knows who they are and today still listens to them and many more great ones. Thank goodness we exposed him and his siblings to them, Stevie ray vaughn , Elvis, Roy Orbison, heart, fleetwood mack, and on and on! I think it exploded a great love of all music in them.

Oh, so, so true. Born in 1974, I grew up with live music, my Dad a hobby jazz musician, me, a choir kid from age 6 until I graduated from the conservatory with a degree as vocal teacher for popular music (jazz). I have been surrounded and immersed in live music and have no comprehension how people can not be familiar with this world.

If there are any other songs....Ummm start with the rest of LZ IV aka “Untitled” and prepare yourself for the rest of the catalog. LZ I, which is an amazing debut album that was embarrassingly criticized by Rolling Stone and led to the band’s shunning of the press, is a great start. It is, IMHO, one of their best albums.

Yes, it is a great one to start out on since it was the first song I ever heard by them. It was on AM radio--before FM became the big thing. That was the great thing about the early seventies, you'd hear a song like this, followed up by maybe Glen Campbell then someone like the Jackson 5.

After a concert of their’s you went away drained physically and emotionally, and spiritually uplifted and satisfied. There was never a release and you wanted more, even though you had just spent 2.5-3 hrs getting a musical organism. If you didn’t feel that way then you were a dead drone inside. My personal thoughts then as well as now, 40+ years later. Peace and enjoy the Zep ride. Never ends.
