I used to watch the trilogy in a loop when I was little. Me and my uncle, who’s unfortunately not with us anymore, would spend days watching it ✨. And where am I now? 10 years apart, making dresses inspired from the musical and the trilogy 🌿

Thanks so much! I fell in love with Sissi in perhaps the second movie - when it was new. (Not sure that I saw the first, as that was more than 60 years ago!) Having auburn hair then myself, I longed to grow mine down to my waist! Alas, my hair did not cooperate! :) What a sad end to her life!

Incredible costumes.Because of them, and gorgeous Romy I can watch these movies over and over again. I have been in Vienna and saw some original dresses and I visited Schònbrunn castle and others of her and I stood in front of Sissy's coffin. It was very touching. Anyone should visit Vienna at least once in a live time. It is the most beautiful and livable city in the world. At least it was before Covid and the draconic if rules.

I watched these movies many times when I was a teenager in China, fell in love with Sissi and Romy. So when I came to the US, finished college, found a good job, saved enough money for a trip to Europe, I made sure to visit Vienna and the palaces she lived in. I came back with a bag full of Sissi souvenirs and beautiful memories.

Romy Schneider was a beautiful being...she was perfect to play the role of Sissi along with Karlheinz Boehm as Kaiser Franz Joseph. Her mother-in-law was a piece of work. They were both asked to make a 4th movie but declined.

Sissi est pour moi une personne d'une rare intelligence et surtout très diplomate avec un coeur gros remplie d'amour et de bien veillance face à ses responsabilités. Et bien sûr c'est un florilège de robes plus sublimes les unes que les autres et j'adore cette époque qui par ces belles toilettes éblouissantes me transporte vers mes rêves de petite fille tout comme les robes espagnoles dont je raffole. Merci à celui qui a posté cette merveilleuse vidéo et puis j'ai une de mes petites filles qui lui ressemble jusque dans la couleurs et expression des yeux et c'est un grand bonheur pour moi car Romy Schneider est une ICÔNE irremplaçable. Puis dans Sissi sont besoin de vivre avec la faune et la flore en toute liberté me ressemble beaucoup. Encore merci du programme. Bonne soirée

I don't like that the hoops show through on so many of the dresses in this montage; an extra petticoat or two might have concealed the hoops better. Also, why is she constantly gripping on to the hoops of her skirts? It happens in so many of the clips, even when she's not going up stairs or a slope or anything. The general look and style, though? Great! It creates an image, a mirage... And it's beautiful! (Even if, as you say, it's not historically accurate. But I guess this was never intended as a scholarly project, but as a beautifully entertaining fairy tale of sorts - we can always go elsewhere for historical details.)

Nunca he visto esa película, pero se nota que es lindísima. Los paisajes, el vestuario y la historia muy interesante. Parece una super producción de aquellos años que se convirtió en un clásico del cine. Yo solo he visto a esa actriz con Alain Delon. Ella tuvo una vida muy trágica y Delon fue un cretino egoísta con ella. Qepd. Romy.

Делон-мировое достояние, и большой души человек, и он поддерживал её до конца жизни, и кстати хоронил её тоже он, а не её родственички наплевавшие на неё с высокой колокольни, и уж если все так ругают Делона, то почему не вспомнить как "прекрасная Роми" поступила со своим мужем, всю жизнь гоняясь за "эгоистичным придурком"?

I would love to wear some of those crinoline dresses. But be careful! never get too near to an open fire, or else you become a human torch. I liked the Dirndl costumes as well.
