After the game, the NBA suspended nine players, including Artest and Wallace, for a total of 146 games, leading to the players losing US$11 million in salary. Five players were charged with assault, and eventually sentenced to a year of probation and community service. Five fans also faced assault charges and were banned from attending Pistons home games for life. The fight also led the NBA to increase security between players and fans and limit the sale of alcohol at games.

Redskinsman10 To be real though this is one of the most scariest things that can happen that you don’t want to happen. At any time if those fans decided to mobilize to rush the floor those players would be dead. I’m sure the players would’ve took some with them but they would be ripped to shreds. I don’t care how big or strong someone is if you have a mob of thousands of people coming at you it’s over. This is why they wanted the players off the court cuz the longer they stayed on they were aggravating the fans more. This was a very important tipping point and luckily they got a hold of the mob.

Whoever is reading this, I wanted to say I hope you have a great day and that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross for your sins and He rose again from the dead three days later. God Bless! And also, He doesn't want you to go to Hell, but He wants you to go to Heaven with Him but you have to be Saved. How do I get Saved you might ask? Here are the steps below on how to get Saved! 1. Believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins and that He rose again from the dead 3 days later. 2. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and ask forgiveness for your sins and Turn away from your sins. If you sin again after asking forgiveness of that sin, ask forgiveness again and try not to do it ever again. Jesus will forgive you! 3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and your life and for Him to be your Lord and Savior forever. 4. Build a Personal Relationship with Jesus by Praying and Reading the Bible daily and Live for Him Forever. I'm Praying for you and you are loved (Romans 10:9-13

I remember this game. 11/19/2004. I was 22, and was with a few friends at the bar watching this game. I couldn't believe what I was watching, it was like WWE Attitude Era. I waived my friends over to see this, they started chanting "FIGHT!" and we were buzzed/ drunk idiots that night. It was the first thing on the local news, and I didn't even live in those two markets. I've seen fans fight each other at MLB game in Oakland, I've seen a fight fest playoff hockey game in Philly, but when the players attack the fans in this NBA game, all hell broke loose.

15 years later still remember watching this live with my father and sister. I was 8 and she was 11 and we screamed for my sister to come down the second Ben pushed Artest, my mom stayed in bed watching the news but they replayed it on all the news networks so fast that within a few minutes my mom came down and we all continued to watch the replays in disbelief. This is still one of the most vivid memories I have of my childhood because it was so surreal.

well he also did say to as well on once that you jump and go over into the crowd and the audience it is absolutely finished and you are absolutely done and over with then but that old guy also antagonized him and also antagonizing the whole entire situations by doing that to him though when that he was just only trying to rest and settle down on the bench or on the scorers table and then that happens that was also quite very uncalled for to as well and i also say that old guy should have of got a permanent ban and suspension from being allowed to go and see any more games from at that stadium at all for ever for that

Every fan deserved everything they got. Especially the one that got knocked out by Artest and O'Neal. He ran up to artest and said "try me" 2 seconds later he was on the floor with his buddy, then a few more seconds later got racked again. Respect to these players, I hope none of the fans got anything from this but an ass beating and a lesson learned
