Oh, I live in Illinois… we had our roofs re-shingled today. Our condo was one of 50 that they completed today. They are amazing! And yes, some of them are undocumented. They work harder than any of us would or could. We NEED migrant workers here and we give them human rights instead of trying to ruin their lives. FULL STOP.

Yes. Here in Florida, replaced my roof, didn't ask but obviously the workers were immigrants, maybe "undocumented." They worked hard in the punishing heat/humidity, did a great job, cleaned up perfectly, didn't even ask to use the bathroom. Why treat them like enemies?

I live in Florida and see too many De Santis signs. Many think he was brave for keeping many businesses open during Covid. I read that Florida had the highest per capita death rate, but to De Santis, all of the elderly were just inside "God's waiting room." So what if he gave them a nudge into the inevitable.

As a conservative farmer I actually remember when Florida got rid of their migrants during Obama era and they wound up having to till all their crops under because there was no one there to pick them. Back then they absolutely realized the importance of Migrant labor how did they lose their mind this time or was it that they enjoyed those Farm taxes at 60% taxpayers expense! Small government, pro-corporation is traditional conservative values. That is not what the Republican party and the right is about anymore. They are for more government intrusion into our lives. They about giving power to a few to rule over the many. "Don't Tread on Me", please. How is stopping someone from being who they are not treading on them or big government, how is government control of doctors health decisions not big government treading on people, how is the state taking power from local school boards or in the case of Texas taking it from cities not big government... My parents who spend about 10k a year on vacations and are obsessed with the Florida Keys have deemed Florida a fly over state since governor dumpster fire has been in place. Save your coins and spend them in Georgia at least the people of that state worked their absolute hardest to get their votes out and make a positive difference.

I’m actually glad they changed the law to let him remain as governor while he runs for President. When his policies wreck Florida (and after his Presidential campaign finishes imploding) I don’t want him staying out of the spotlight because he resigned. They didn't even promote it. They objected to a law he passed. They exercised their first amendment rights. And Florida didn't need this law, because it already had rules in place for no sex-ed in those grades. It was only done for hateful GQP street creds. And the lie that it was to protect kids was later proven to be just that, as it was expanded to all school grades.

Stores here in Miami are seeing the effects of Ron DeSatan....tomatoes up 50% in a week and there is a shortage of them, mangoes & avocadoes are in season & thank goodness I have neighbors with trees, but in the stores shortages and these are things I love....and are grown locally

It’s long been known the immigrants are NOT taking jobs from American citizens. They do fill a desperately needed labor gap, working the jobs that many Americans don’t want to do. In FL agriculture is rotting on the vines, rooms are not getting cleaned, food is not not getting cooked and construction has come to a standstill in many places. In a state that is largely known for tourism & Orange Juice Ron’s insistence of the use of the e-verify system is killing the state. The workers can go elsewhere for work…the work cannot get done by itself.

Recently read about a Florida woman who was forced to deliver a child with Potts syndrome who lived for 90 minutes. Death was guaranteed as the child had no kidneys. During that 90 minutes he struggled to breathe because his lungs had not expanded because, not having any kidneys he was unable to produce the amniotic fluid that should have flowed through and expanded his lungs. In the end the child died of suffocation - probably the worst way to die. May this death be visited upon the Florida lawmakers who caused it.

I live in the area, what the family had to go through was torture. I can only imagine having to carry a baby in your body to term knowing it can't survive. I think if she didn't have to carry the baby, they could have started grieving and the situation for them wouldn't have been so traumatic.
