Regarding your investment house, as long as you hold on to it, you pay no capital gains tax, however, suppose after 5 years you sell it for $2'500'00: you will pay a tax (let's say 50% as well for simplicity) on your $1'500'000 gain. the classic I know3 this is a tv show but seriously kids are being brainwashed like this. it's just a cute report? no it's subtly putting pro-government ideas in her head. notice the question is: why government matters and not do you think the government matters and why
@CrashSable5 жыл бұрын
@@BlackScisir I would also add that it's a stupid question to begin with. What point of reference is a child supposed to have on the subject? Is she supposed to write about how the government she lives under matters, or how a theoretical ideal government would matter? I bet the teachers who thought up the report don't even realise the number of governmental systems that exist and just assume that it only counts as a government if it can be described as a democracy. She could just as easily write "government matters in North Korea because it is the greatest threat to your life on a daily basis."

Essentially, it's like saying humans can fly (by relabeling falling from high-rise windows "flying"). What happens if government disappears? Some marauding gang around comes along the next day, takes everything you own and gangrapes you in the ass. And - surprise! - this gang is called "your new government".
