Seriously... It was refreshing. At least we've come a long way from the invasion of toxic "reality" shows from the early 2000s. There's still shows like Milf Manor but at least people are receptive to something wholesome that just didn't interest viewers before.

I don't think that was the goal, i think they just let the show happen without trying to force anything and it just ended up that way. Which is still very commendable most people try to force a narrative even in reality tv

@@nellucthegreat the script should be irrelevant unless it was staged, I don't think they would throw the entire production away if he ended up being worse, they would have definitely edited it as much as possible to make him more of a "hero" if things had gone differently tho but I doubt they would have cared very much if there was more drama, like they said the neighbor was supposed to creep him out and make him uncomfortable but since they had our man it ended up much more wholesome than they planned

This dude really should get into movies, he has the movie star look and everything. His parents did a very good job of raising him. He was empathetic, kind, understanding but also showed great leadership qualities. I love how he saw "the inventor" in the weird guy and shows him the movie which contains a misunderstood inventor instead of seeing him as a weird creep (which lets be honest most of us would have and then avoided him like the plague). Instead he wanted to bring him out of his shell. Or how he was willing to take the fall for James and his turd, and the paparazzi incident and be the wingman for the nerd. What a lovely guy. He would make a great friend, I am sure.

The thing is, most members of the general public haven't served on a jury before (and indeed, that was one of the criteria for the Craigslist ad). This whole premise had to rely on the fact that most people don't know the detailed machinations of the system, so the producers could get away with bending the rules a bit. They wouldn't be able to pull off the exact same thing twice though.
