2 жыл бұрынAll film scenes and photos were taken during a trip to Switzerland in 1989. The film scenes were taken with a Sony Handycam Video 8 camera which were digitalized later. Unfortunately the quality of the film scenes is not what we might expect from today’s digital cameras. But in more than 30 years a lot have changed, also at the railways in Switzerland. Most film scenes shown in this video cannot be made today anymore.

Very nice, especially the train with mid helper, the BLS was the only railway in Europe to use distributed power. Blausee-Mitholz where I spent several days and explored the Lötschberg pass. Our holiday home was in the middle of the lower U curve from where you could observe the same train on 3 times passing on different levels. That was in 2000 or 2001, Ae 8/8 was still in service but on minor tasks, and the Be 6/8 could be observed on one occasion, it was then part of the historic fleet but would be operated now and then to keep it fit, it was double heading with a Re465 for a freight up the pass with a Re4/4 pushing from behind.
