1-2 Inchs of performance is the difference between a 10 pin frustration night and through the face splits. I’d says it’s important to the style of bowler

The two balls should have exactly the same starting top weight, since that is what the CG is marking. The issue is that the post drilling static weights would still be different with the different CG offsets. Does it matter? Probably not, since the distance of the PSA and PIN from the PAP, as well as their relationship to the gripping holes (alterations to the mass of the weight block), determines the rate and path of axis migration, and would totally swamp any minor effects from the static weights. And at the end of the day, it is hugely impractical for a proshop to be able to spec offset, top-weight, pin-to-CG distance on every ball they order. 3-4" @ 2-3 oz is about as granular as it gets.

What is the ball reaction if the CG is horizontal to the pin and mass bias but sits right above the mass bias?

I noticed the pin is a circle like this ⭕️ but on the other side of the ball is a pin that is solid. Does it matter which pin you base your layout off of and drill from?

The solid one is the 'pin' & the other is the CG (Center of Gravity) & if you see a tiny dot that's the 'Mass Bias' (usually located near your thumb hole)

The circle is the pin for measurement. They place the pin they used to hold the core opposite to give more drilling options. Because you shouldn’t drill within an inch of the pin they used to hold the core in the ball.
