Lots of questions, first thank you for watching. You can do this directly over break but what I would do would first be to make sure the brick is clean of course and I would put a bonding agent on the brick and then I would use a product such as Gauging plaster that can go on a stick is an inch and a half and give you a much smoother base and save you a lot of money. Gauging plaster is not as expensive as these materials and get some staging plaster is a line based product you can put the venetian o directly over top of it without a primer.. there is a plaster that I get from a distributor in New York that does have an insulating value to it it’s supposed to help reduce your heat and air-conditioning expenses by as much as a third. @@RonaldLayman Oh man! You are the best. Thank for all of your information and time responding to my questions. Yes, may questions for someone who has never done anything like this. I do have many questions. I thank you so much for your time and efforts to answer them. I will definitely e-mail you regarding the specialized plaster to help me with insulation. I live in St. Louis, MO and brick is the prize of our city. Also, my home was built in 1889 so I am interested in insulation without having to use 2x4's, extending the room inward on all sides, and building a wall of air to fill with insulation. I want to try to remain true to the building yet still have modern technology built into it as much as possible. I am not exactly rich and I can't afford someone to come in do all of this for me, I can afford the materials and products and do it myself. As in life, where you cannot pay for something outright, you will pay with time on your own. I am willing. I hope that you understand, while you took the time to create the videos and share your knowledge, you have at least one person out here who is falling in love with what you've done for us and I plan on using what you've thought me through your videos. As they say, "As Iron can only sharpen iron, so too shall man sharpen man." I for one recognize it and I appreciate you!
