I became a better husband, a better father, a better leader, and a better creator when I realized that there were some things I needed to unlearn that I innately picked up on in my environment and in my childhood. But I also needed to learn some things that I taught myself. In this video, I'm sharing what those things are.

Something that’s helped me be my authentic self is quitting alcohol. I’m only 9 days in so here’s to the rest of my life! I’ve started researching healthier diets, packing salads for work, reconnecting with friends. Hoping to pick up journaling again. I always knew what was right and what was wrong, but quitting alcohol has allowed me to put my well intentions into action. Thanks for continuing to enable all of us in a healthy sustainable way. Best wishes to you and the family!

Congratulations to you on your decision to make a new and wonderful change in your life. I've been through something similar to this just not with alcohol, and during my journey I did find that Journaling did help me a lot to get through this. And I still 5 years later after making my decision to change will still find myself writing in my journal when I'm having a rough day, or even a great day that I just want to write down about to make sure I always have that memory. And also having a great support system of people who encourage you in your decision as well, like some family members, or friends. I myself didn't have a family I could turn to for that support, and at the time my friends were the ones that I didn't need to be around because they were still engaging in the very things I was trying to get away from. So that's why my journal helped so much and almost was like a friend to me in a sense. But I did eventually branch out and met some new friends and everything worked out for the best. I wish you all the best of luck on your new change and hope it all goes great for you. And yes definitely journal you won't regret it. 🫶👍

I’m on a journey to unlearn things and learn new things and be the best version of myself. I didn’t know we have to learn the languages to communicate with different people.

Always appreciate your wisdom, even at your young age of 30. 😊 I’m finally learning at the age of 48 to change my belief system…meaning, the things I have told myself many years about myself and believed they were truths…were really just skewed beliefs and thoughts that formulated because of insecurity and negativity in my life. It’s freeing to truly become you.

You’re absolutely right! It is freeing to truly become you! I’m happy you’ve unlearned some of your own beliefs that, like yon said, we’re skewed and formulated because of insecurities and negativity. Keep growing on your journey Melinda! I’m rooting for you!

I can relate! Fear of failure is a big one for me! I even wrote a poem a few years back about my relationship with fear and breaking free from it. You got this Claudia. Remember this: F.E.A.R = False Evidence Appearing Real.

This video resonated with me and a limiting belief that I had was with my parents. I'm am on a healing journey and just recently had to go no contact with a parent. My limiting belief was that you needed both parents in your life to be whole but what I found out after going no contact is that I needed to heal in order to heal before pursuing a relationship. It is sort of like the airplane analogy where you put the oxygen mask on you before you put it on someone else.

Hi Ron what resonates with me was not being my authentic self. When I was younger I always felt I didn't fit in. I have changed my beliefs and habits. I really don't care now what others think. Thanks Ron ❤

Every single time I’m overwhelmed by my goals and the things my husband and I have outlined as things to accomplish in order to have a brighter future, I watch one of your videos and I’m given a sense of calm and it renews a quiet motivation to keep pressing forward. It’s not as complicated as my head makes it out to be. Just gotta stay focused and do it. Thank you.

Such an important message. We so often get caught telling ourselves, we can't do such and such because it doesn't "align" with our person. All that is doing is limiting ourselves. Remember: you are the only person who knows yourself and what makes you, you. You are in charge whenever you want to "adjust" your person by doing and learning something new.

This video definitely resonated with me. As a woman of color growing up in a non traditional household, there were plenty of things I needed to unlearn. I didn’t realize it until I became a parent and that’s when the real work began. I could no longer think or act a certain way and expect people to accept me because "That’s just the way I am” or "I was raised differently”. I had to be responsible for a little human being and I wanted him to be his authentic self all while I was unlearning some beliefs and healing. I now have better relationships with people and able to set boundaries, especially with family that are still stuck in their old ways of thinking. I’m still evolving but definitely living an intentional authentic life. Thank you Ronald

I love this! As a new dad myself…I want my son to embrace his authentic self as well plus I’m unlearning a few things so he doesn’t pick them up from me. It’s a very interesting life experience but I happy to see you’ve experienced something similar! Sounds like you’re on the right path for you now. Love it!! 🙌🏾

A while back this month, I had a conversation with a friend about habits and choices... I haven't fully finished watching the video yet, but one thing that comes to mind when it comes to growth and getting out of certain habits or choices is that it's okay to have setbacks. It's okay if every now and then, certain old habits or mental blocks take longer to heal or outgrow. I feel like it's easy for us as humans sometimes to suddenly become down on ourselves when we say or do things that has this opposite effect on us, and overlooking the concept of making mistakes or errors in judgment as if growth and change is only linear. Thank you for making this very insightful video, Ron!

Profound and nuanced insights in this video. I am reading T. Harv Eker's bestseller "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind". The book focuses on the concept of our internal money blueprint. We all essentially have a financial comfort zone. We sabotage our own success and even make decisions which validate our internal limiting dialogue. I tracked my income over the last five years.....no upward trajectory. Failed to cultivate different income streams. I grew up where there was never enough. I create lack and survival is an accomplishment. I want to move beyond this mentality.

This is deep! Definitely a conversation we need to have in this community because I can tell you know that you are not alone in these thoughts. “I create lack and survival is an accomplishment.” Wow! Now you have me reflecting on other limiting beliefs I’ve had over the years. I may have to borrow this thought for a conversation because it deep and real for a lot of people!
